See if you can put up a poll. Would help avoid a lot of the "This is better than that" which we have seen 7.2 billion times on these here forums; as well as over at M6G.

What's wrong with an Eco-Boost? Yes, MCS is correct, post a poll. But please! Include the Eco-Boost to make it fair.

The predator is a no brainer for a build, you can do 1300 ish rather easily, the DCT is finicky though.

To this day I still like the 2013-2014 the best in terms of looks.

You folks have done a great job on wheel selection already.
Answering your question (and I speak only myself) Dark Horse. It’s the latest product and most likely broad market.

5.0 has the Dark Horse. Ecoboost should have a Light Horse. Which includes upgrades to engine, suspension, better intercooler, intake, interior, Tremec with 3.73, handling package, lightening of the cars weight, solid color no stripes, and chrome badges as God intended, etc. All the bells and whistles of the Dark Horse including Ember Blue. Or it could be called the "Little Horse".

Personally, I prefer Eco-Beast, as I have that name plate on my modified 2019 Ranger.
Eco-Boom! Boom! Shake the room. 😇👍🏼 I have a feeling it's why they took away the 6 speed and now the 3.55. a racer told me if you're in 6th and downshift it goes 💥. They should compromise with a 3.31. Id get one just to learn track racing. Would help me with in town driving skills.

Dark Horse for sure. you may get more out of the box power with a GT500, but a whipple stage 2 on the DH will give you 115hp more than that. from what i hear, the 10R80 is basically invincible unless you're putting insanity levels of power through it, and the first thing to be replaced would be the clutch packs around 900 to 1000hp because they will get extremely toasty from slipping.

the predator block seems to be capable of around 1000hp before you need to build it, and the coyote appears to be maxed out at 900hp before it needs to be built as well. and with the Dark Horse, you're getting the predator's connecting rods.

with a good enough tune, it can probably still be daily driven, too, and you wont get too bad fuel economy. i dont know much about the TR-3160, but i can basically promise that it gets nowhere near the 10R80 in its ability to handle power.

you can also get pretty close to the sound and tone of a GT500 by putting on a 3" cat-back system, but you will never get exactly the same due to the displacement differences. a 3" cat-back should be done anyways so that the exhaust isnt limiting power

There are folks out there getting 600 HP from an Eco-Boost (2nd Gen) running on E85. 425 isn't unheard of on pump gas. I suspect the Gem 3 is stronger.

All depends on what you want to do with the car. If you are not boosting it, the Mach 1 is great as a track car. If you want big power, starting with the GT 500 chasis and block is amazing - if you are okay with the DCT. The Darkhorse doesn't seem to offer much that the Mach 1 doesn't. If you like screens and cool puddle lights, I guess that's your cup of tea. If the Darkhorse is a 10R80 car, I don't know why you wouldn't just go with the GT for 10-20k less. Then again, starting with a solid S550 and building it out with the money saved is a choice I feel is missing.

I was trying to locate a Bullitt or Mach 1. My daughter got lucky and found a Dark Horse Premium ember blue tremec with ultra low miles. So I told her to get it for me. Can't wait to get back to Texas next week to take it out for a ride. So I sold my Whippled 6 Speed GT. Next will be a later model S550 Whippled 10 sped so my daughter could take up drag racing.
