Where in the RPM band are you noticing fuel cut off ?

Is it around 7200 RPM and are you driving a manual or an automatic? I'm driving a manual and it seems so weird to shift before redline after a lifetime of driving manuals. I'm shifting at 7,000 rpm to try and avoid this with a redline of 7,500. Why didn't they just make redline where fuel cutoff occurs? If you have an automatic I guess it would make more sense to ask where the car is shifting at full throttle.

I never push and engine that hard but they used to have a yellow line which you shouldn't go past but it wasn't real risky to push into it. Some reason or another, I never hear about the yellow line any more and only hear about the red line.

My ‘20 and ‘23s seem to be a lot more situational than that and not so cut and dried.

My ‘23 manual Mach will sail right up to 7500 anywhere, anytime in either track or drag mode. It might go a little past but I have fewer than 1000 miles so I’m being cautious . But my ‘23 automatic Mach is a little crankier. It will also touch 7500 between upshifts but it’s kinda when it wants to, track or drag mode, how the nannies are set, etc. It also has only ~1000 miles but I’ve noticed it seems to rev higher as miles accumulate.

All this is why I wondered if maybe something had changed for ‘24.

I had the same question a while ago. I haven't figured out exactly what the limitations are, but I can rev my '24 to 7500 rpm. Some indications from the interwebs showed that there's a soft and hard rev limit (7250 and 7500 respectively). But the car has the same upper limit as the auto.
