What do you guys plan on powering with the rearview mirror USB port?

I was hoping to use a short USB splitter of some kind and power both a dash cam and a radar detector but I'm not really sure if it would be possible to power two devices off of the one port like that. I know there are some ports down by the shifter but I'd rather not run wires all over the place.

And the manual is absolute crap.
It doesn't clearly specify the current limit on that charging port.

It does mention this fuse rating.

So is it not live when the car is off and parked? I want my cam to be able to record when I'm not in the car. Looks like I still might have to run a cable to the fuse box.

The good thing is there are a ton of "Not Used (Spare)" fuse positions in all of the fuse boxes. I looked through the Owner's Manual and I don't think I have seen that many "Extra" fuse slots on a vehicle before.

Yes, I have a premium GT convertible and mine has it as shown in the picture on the original post.

Does the USB port supply enough power (12v) to power a radar detector?

I plugged in my dash cam on that usb port behind the mirror. It seems to stay on even after the car is shut off and locked. It is always on.
