You make good points, but perhaps for clarification I should point out I have no intent of preserving el Rucio Moro as a collectible. Matter of fact, this is my daily driver and my daily joy.
Having said that, perhaps I should also admit vanity got the better of me thinking I scored a rare...
I wish I could have taken a picture, but my phone was - alas - not near at hand. On my honor, I speak truthfully.
Cruising through Chester, PA this afternoon @ roughly 1640, I see a car carrier headed towards me. "Hmm, looks like a mustang 650 in front, go Ford!" Oh waaait...
I realized...
Like ctor, I also have a home rig that far outpaces the car. My main beef with the B&O is the system is designed with surround sound as a target - even when the surround setting is set to off.
Seems to me the factory setup is designed to paint a soundscape just for the front and the signal to...
Smaller pulley means th SC spins more for every engine revolution. Think of the gears on a bicycle, as they get smaller the tire turns faster. The faster the SC spins the more air gets crammed into the intake.
I heard from a pro racer that the auto transmission in the DH has been proven to...
Don't get me wrong, I'm not disabled and can get around fine, but the constant ankle movement will inflame the torn Achilles and that feels like a torch to my foot. I'm ok with the manumatic, except it reminds me too much of my old Schwinn bicycle. Why did it have to be 10 speeds too?
And no...
Funny thing is, it was Ford who made Shelby. Back when he was a broke dick former oil prospector and chicken farmer, he went to Ford hat in hand asking for some cash and engines to develop a car that would eat the Corvette for lunch. Thus began the "Powered by Ford" Cobra, and the Shelby...
For clarification, the OBDII port is still there under the dash. FORSCAN (and other such apps) is installed on a tablet or laptop. The required adapter uses a USB connector on one end and a OBDII connector on the other. Search the FORSCAN website for the recommended adapter. This allow the...
Lovely! 315's are a negligible step down from what I wanted, no problem.
Quick questions (2)
- Where do the tires come from? Customer furnished or do you sell these also?
- I can't find a finish in your website that comes close to the DH factory finish, are there alternatives not shown?
Those are the best. I got tired of replacing AGM batteries after 3 years, switched to the redcaps - when possible - and never had to replace one. That's what I'll install in the Rucio Moro when the factory battery dies.
Surely you realize the inherent contradiction in your question. Since the DH features stronger internals, it should be your preference if you are concerned about long term durability. Going for a GT because of more readily available parts seems kind of defeating the purpose.
Besides, even if...
I'm with the OP, I prefer no poke and vertical tires. I am glad these issues are being aired out, not pulling the trigger until I'm satisfied that the wheels/tires that I want will fit the way I want.
Having said, I've been wanting to put 325's in the rear, now I feel like that's crazy. My DH...
If you happen to be in the north Jacksonville area, you will see one on the road every day in the vicinity of the airport.
Regarding the color, as we say in Puerto Rico there's a color for each taste (para los gustos los colores). Just remember: it's supposed to be dark and foreboding, like a...
