So - no- there is no shine wearing off of the girl yet… but with just over a week of having her… I’ve noticed something peculiar…

why are there only usb ports in the front console under the dash, and not in either the glove box nor the center console?

Is this a thing for all trim levels or is it only because I have a 301A that I’m limited to the front USB plugs.

EDIT: NEVER MIND. A little forum search gave me my answer. Sigh. Seems like such little things are always skimped on these cars.

ahhh well it’s all good! Still love her

Mustang went from 2 USB, one in centre cubby one on lower dash (S550) to 2 together in the dash (one is now USB C) on the S650. Some markets also have one at the top of the windscreen by the rear view mirror for power only.

For power there is a 12v socket in the centre cubby which you could use a USB charger in.

There have never been any in the glovebox

Out of curiosity, what cars have you seen with ports in the glovebox? Most of my expertise is with FCA and Ford vehicles, but I don't recall ever seeing or reading about a car with USB ports in the glovebox.

My last car was a Nissan Altima and it had a usb and a 12V socket/cigarette lighter in the console as well.

My Wife's Acura, my previous GTI, my wife's previous VW Atlas, My 2018 Dodge Charger SRT, lol... they all did.

It's nice to be able to connect your phone and hide it, so the interior is just clean....

In the center console, yes, but you said the glove box, hence me asking about the glove box, not the center console. :)

By glove box, I mean the storage compartment under the dash in front of the passenger seat, just to be 100% clear.

You can still do that my man. Apple car play and Android auto are wireless on the S650. 👍🏻

Yessir that’s what I do. I charge the phone in the console through the 12v. However, I wanted to add something like the Magic Box for streaming video etc to the large screen, and would prefer to have it hidden :

You're going to be driving too fast to use that shit. I can't even hear the sound that music makes I drive so fast but without my cell phone plugged in of course. The real challenge is getting around the other fast cars on interstates. The average speeds on interstates in Dixie are only 100 or so. At least on I-85 north or south. It's about 10 mph higher in Atlanta where cell phone use is allowed over 100 but only on wet days. Not kidding. If you don't believe it, drive in Atlanta then tell us about it if you survive. So many people live there, nobody is missed in fatal car wrecks which average anly a couple thousand a day. Really...... Atlanta makes Texas look slow....really. Fire away.
