OK, I'm sure I saw that it meant unrestricted in Germany.
But, you're not Europe anymore 😁
We haven't changed continent just left the EU

In Germany there are some unrestricted sections of Autobahn but not all. For the rest of Europe not so and the sign means national speed limit for the type of road so in the UK it means 60mph on regular roads and 70mph on dual carriageway and motorways. One sign can mean different limits.

Well, I'll be damned. When I first got my car and said I was in the process of printing the user manual, I caught shit here for three days because I wanted a printed manual and it was assumed I was in the dark ages or something. No, I don't sit in my car and read the manual on a car screen. The printed version I have makes it quick and easy to find something. :)
Nothing wrong with a printed manual, trouble is most people never get them out of the cellophane wrapper so a total waste printing them. RTFM is a common retort!

When I lived in Germany in the late 80s, it was a LOT of road unrestricted. I have not been back, but I always wondered whether suburban sprawl or other factors have slowly crept down the autobahn with speed limits, meaning I wonder how much it has changed. Is it shrinking?

I’d say 80% of every question here is answered in the owner’s manual.

But that other 20% makes this forum invaluable. There ARE a lot of questions the manual doesn’t address….especially aftermarket options. I learned a LOT here and I read every page of my manual. and yes I mean the 552 page one.

There are A LOT of questions not adequately addressed in the manual.

And just like the Ford Factory Service Manual, if you don't know Ford's terminology for whatever you are looking for you will never find it. And that terminology is not always obvious even to seasoned technicians.

There's a lot wrong with online manuals when you're in the hills behind Amalfi with no cell service, or houses for 10 - 15kms, and have a flat tyre on your Peugeot with no instructions on how to use the inflator/sealer.

Every inflator I have seen has pictures on it how to use it!

What are the other colors, green, orange, red?

I see on the internet the white sign with a blue square and black numbers, but I do not remember seeing those signs in the late 80s. The internet says they were introduced in 1974. Maybe I did not want to see them.

You seriously had nothing better to do than come into this thread and post about what a dipshit I am and how superior you are with the proof being that I had just discovered this feature?
