Back in 2016 I was working for Verzion and their union went on strike. It lasted over 3 months. So it can definitely go on much longer.

The thing is, people have gotten so used to these contract ratifications being so benign in recent history that they've forgotten it's still a negotiation, and negotiations can become quite contentious.

Yep, that's true. Seems we've had quite a few more strikes lately, at that.

Coyote engines are at least one thing sourced from Canada. Coupled with just-in-time delivery systems, there could be significant impacts to Ford, not just in the production of Mustangs, but F150s and other vehicles.

In the other direction, completed cars headed to Canada could be affected. Dealers might have insight.

Yeah I saw this as well. I'm going to be reaching out to my dealer to see if my DH is truly on CONVOY (like the window sticker said) or whether it relies on RAIL in any way shape or form. My delivery update still says Sept 1 to Sept 7 and there have been no updates yet.

That strike will cause some impact to every day folks as well; including shutting down two local people-mover lines in the GTA: GO train service on Milton line and Hamilton GO Station cancelled
