I hope having a window sticker and a blend date means all the parts for my build are currently on site.

I spoke to my dealer who told me my car is at the Woodhaven Stamping Plant and has an ETA of September 9th. The website shows Sept 1 - Sept 7 so yeah, there is a delta there.

Woodhaven seems to have rail lines running into it however the window sticker says CONVOY so it is anyones guess at this point however the strike could be impacting delivery for me :(

If you're in SW Ontario, I'd be surprised if they actually loaded your car onto a train. I'd bet it's going by truck all the way.

That’s what I would have thought. It’s 400km point to point. But with that strike happening everyone is scrambling for truck space to move goods. So we will see if I take a back burner.

Getting people physically back to their trains, scheduling and inspections will take a few days, but the Canadian government has stepped in and ordered everyone back to work.

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cwy586pwk2ko

"Canada's federal government has moved swiftly to end an industrial dispute that just brought two of the country's largest railways to a halt, threatening supply chains across North America.

Labour Minister Steve McKinnon said railways operations should resume "within days" as he sent both sides to final binding arbitration."

"The government said that while it supports the collective bargaining process, it needed to exercise its powers under Canada's Labour Code in order to ensure important goods and trade were still being transported."

Yeah, I checked my web portal and now it says SEPT 3 - SEPT 9 for delivery ETA. My sales rep said he had it on his system to be delievered by the 9th so looks like a slight delay.

I had to move some appointments around (PPF, TINT, ROOF WRAP) from the 9th to the 16th just to cover off the PDI time.

Strike is over unless CNCPK gets an appeal through but the one company was back on Thursday night / Friday and the other is back (tentatively) today. Let’s see if the scheduled delivery dates remain constant.

Strike on hold until after the Holidays.

"The union representing tens of thousands of dockworkers across the US has agreed to suspend its strike while negotiations continue."

"The union says it has reached a tentative agreement on wages and will go back to work on Friday until 15 January, when they will return to the bargaining table to negotiate "all other outstanding issues"."
