There were 2000 outstanding orders last week, then only 800 this week. I was almost certain at that rate, they would've scheduled out the remaining orders today. Guess not.
Here's an interesting take on the UAW's latest move:

It might be possible that I'm misunderstanding how allocations work under Ford's system. Im coming from an understanding of GMs system, where allocations are handed out to dealerships each week. If the dealer gets an allocation for your build, then the dealer submits it to the factory.
I'm not...
Ordered 9/27, received confimation email from Ford within minutes of leaving dealer. Received order form from dealer with sales code and order code. Those checked out when using Ford chat earlier today.
Build was base GT with Grabber Blue, Space Gray interior, MT, active exhaust, upgraded to...
I did get the confirmation email within about 20 minutes of leaving the dealer. I called today to inquire, as I was sure my build would've went through. No npp or performance pack.
The first dealer i tried had no interest in taking an order and instead tried to direct me to premium models they...
They say it's still on process from the date i submitted the order.
What are the odds that a dealer would just sit on an order, hoping they could get a buyer to purchase a higher specced and priced stock order later on down the road?
I called my dealer. He said they think my order got "pulled" for scheduling last thursday. Not sure what that means. Nothing in email.
I had a bad experience with Mustang's competitor where I ordered something when the banks opened and never got the allocation. I just don't want a repeat of...
It looks like some scheduling was supposed to happen today. It looked like they wanted to schedule builds for December into January.
Is that all done today, or spread out over the next few weeks? If I were to be scheduled today, when would I know? If I wasn't scheduled today, do I wait until...
Here's the way I understand it:
There are 1600 outstanding orders to be built (not including dark horse)
Starting at the first row:
Ford has the capacity to build 50% of those outstanding orders as GT's, but only 30% of the outstanding orders are GT's. Good news for anyone with an outstanding...
Thanks to the advice on here, I contacted a second dealer who found the first dealers behavior surprising. I showed up and was done in 30 minutes. Order printout in hand with order code, sales code, price code, and final price.
I'm not sure if order code, and order number are used...
I'm OK with a wait (not 1.5 yrs though!) Winter is coming up anyway and I'm certainly not going to feed it to the salt. If it's delivered in winter it'd just sit in the barn until spring.
All i want is a regular GT with a manual trans and active exhaust. I don't need all the extra bells and whistles. That's why I'm trying to order, since stuff on the lot normally has all that extra stuff.
That's what I thought. I'm sure what he's sending me are other people's special orders that they decided they didnt want. I sent him back a link to the build I made on the Ford website, and now they won't even respond. Moving on to the next one.
Unfortunately, they were not what I want. If they were at least close, that would be great. One of them had like 15k worth of extra options that I'm not interested in at all.
