Spare Tire Option

Picked up my S650 a week ago and was pleasantly surprised to see a spare tire in the trunk, despite not being an option on the sticker. My (10A) car also lacks the auto start/stop button. Is that because it’s an early build and Ford changed the spec on these items?

As for the spare, considering it was a $415 option in 2024 and now $515 in 2025 consider yourself lucky

I do feel lucky on both fronts. Especially the spare, as Ford doesn’t offer it as an accessory for S650, and I didn’t want to go aftermarket. Getting Rapid Red, now discontinued, was another bonus.

I could not find a spare tire kit for the S650 GT with Brembo brakes from Ford. There is a spare tire available for the S650 GT without brembo brakes. Dealer told me a spare tire kit may become available after the 2025 model is out. Modern Spare company does offer a spare tire kit for the S650 with the brembo brakes. If anyone finds that Ford offers a spare tire kit for use with Brembo brakes please let me know.

Ezespare has one it’s really nice and it specifies that it fits with brimbo break option

You can get the factory scissor jack off eBay for 50 bucks but it won’t fit in the compartment with that big 19in spare so I have mine in a tote with all my other emergency supplies

Same here but got the jack onAmazon black friday for half off.

So I have the 20 in with the 155/60-20 tire from Auto Authority. Bought orginally for my 19 GT. It fits my 24 DH (non HP) with no spacers. They did make an earlier 19 in version. The EZ Spare is a slightly smaller diameter so it fits in well easier. Jack is same they have used for years, readily available, even junk yards. Also, room under wheel for Jack and handle, just not on hold down stud. EZ spare cheaper price.

I'm doing some research on spare tires. I emailed Automotive Authority and asked a couple questions. I was surprised to hear this about being able to use it as a daily driver!

Their reply:

I would be happy to assist you. Our spare will fit your 2024 Mustang GT perfectly on both the front and rear of the vehicle. The tire is our custom-made Tri Ace 155/60R20. The spare is capable of full highway speeds up to 99 MPH and the tire has a 30,000 mile tread life. You could use the spare as your daily driver if needed.

I may buy from them, even though I really do like the red spare from EZ Spare.
