No Spare Tire

Ford has offered spare tires in the past, but they where for the smaller brakes. PP cars and Dark Horse need aftermarket spare kits
I have the Automotive Authority I used it on my 19 GT PP and now my Dark Horse. Tight fit in trunk well, but it close to tire diameter. And supplied jack works with pinch wrlds.

Best insurance policy against damaged pinch welds is jacking rails. I first heard about them I couldn't figure what they were, maybe for jacking up car (making rear end higher like we did way back when). Just never know when you'll get something worse than a mere nail. With these hardly existent sidewalls we have the sidewall could get slashed by junk on the road.

Ordered my tire from Automotive Authority June 24th. UPS says it will be delivered June 30th. That is a great turnaround. Bought a jack at Harbor Freight for $23 that should do the trick in an emergency.

Ordered a Modern Spare just now so that should take care of that. Hope for no flats but peace of mind is worth the cost. Thanks everyone for the help! FD

I ordered the one from Automotive Authority earlier this year for my old car with the big brembos. It's just sitting in my garage if anyone in Arizona is interested. My new car came with a factory spare.

Had I only known sooner I would have taken it off your hands. Mine arrived today. Very well packaged and it fits the tire well like a glove.

Do you know the weight of the spare and can you tell a difference in the way the car drives?
