Update. This is really strange. Today I checked the cars software status in the infotainment, and there was a message saying that update wasnt completed. This was not there when I check on Monday. I went to get my phone out to take a picture when the screen refreshed and just said no updates available.

I made a stop on the way home, and then rechecked the status in the infotainment. Now it says update completed and gives me this message. 🙄

What in the actual f**k is so hard about these updates that you have to be a private investigator over 3 days to figure out whats going on? Alls well that ends well, but sheesh.
Maybe an update was hung up in the queue from when your car had the spinning pinwheel issue? I would need to check the OTA dashboard in PTS, but truth is, if it shows that on your screen, the update installed while you were driving and there's nothing to worry about.

One more thing. As of tonight my Ford pass app now says my software was updated today. Yesterday it said no update pending and no history.

This makes no sense since I reset the battery in Sunday and it should have gone through that night or Monday.

At no point did I ever get any notification of a pending software update or one being completed in the last two days.

Get your shit together Ford.

Just got this one today:

SYNC-26.2.4.11
This software update contains the following key changes: We’ve made improvements to the welcome animation when starting up your vehicle.

Got this one today. When I fired up the car leaving work, had it pop up on the screen confirming successful update.

Now if Ford would give us the option to toggle off fake engine noises and ANC, as well as the stupid videos that spam the most important display of the car when changing drive modes we'd be in business. I'd also like for DRL toggle to be on or off, not just on with automatic headlights. I always turn mine off because I'm sick of my headlights coming on when it's still bright enough outside to wear sunglasses. I don't care what anyone says, "But muh LEDs they last 50,000 hours". Ya no, I see plenty of cars of different makes/models with a dead LED headlight/tail-light every day. Not a single thing on cars is designed to outlast the warranty.
You can turn off the DRLs in the settings menu alone. Got mine turned off both in the Mustang and the F-150.

Somewhere on the app it has a disclaimer that says not all of its info is up to date. There seems to be a delay in how it gathers it's info from the car.

I'd like to have the DRLs on but the only way is if the headlights are set to auto which makes no sense.

Don't think I've ever noticed that one way or the other. Just leave it on auto. I don't understand the problem.

There is no problem. Not everything is a problem. It is just a preference to control the lights instead of having the lights forced to work only on specific settings.

The headlights turn on when it's still plenty bright outside, Sun is still visible in the sky. I like my screens dim at night and with auto headlights the sensor often dims the screens while it's still light out and makes them totally illegible to me so I'd have to constantly manually adjust the brightness.

Of course like clockwork once you stop paying attention to things...... I got 26.2.4.11 today. It appeared in my Ford app under software updates. It also appears in my Ford account and also showed as Installation complete on my Sync4 system. 🙂

I got the "Welcome Animation" software update notice when I got in my car this aft. Oddly, I had already got in the car twice today before I got the message, so I may have had the update while driving?
