Well now im annoyed. I cant even check the software status inside the car without getting this message that never ends.

So, the app software status doesnt work, the website software status doesnt work, and now the cars software status doesnt work. I have no way of knowing what version of software I have or if I have a pending update.

And yes the car battery is charged.
Maybe do try a battery disconnect and see if it helps? Not sure other than server maybe down or something like that. Goodluck buddy 🤞

No, i mean trying just turn on the auto update option on the app doesnt work. It just buffers endlessly and goes back to off. Disconnecting my phone battery isnt gonna help lol.

Um sorry, car battery... not phone battery.

same here. i was getting email prompts to turn on auto updates but gave up after the same buffering repeatedly. i believe i tried in the car but gave up after a similar outcome.

Glad its not just me. There must be a server issue.

Now if Ford would give us the option to toggle off fake engine noises and ANC, as well as the stupid videos that spam the most important display of the car when changing drive modes we'd be in business. I'd also like for DRL toggle to be on or off, not just on with automatic headlights. I always turn mine off because I'm sick of my headlights coming on when it's still bright enough outside to wear sunglasses. I don't care what anyone says, "But muh LEDs they last 50,000 hours". Ya no, I see plenty of cars of different makes/models with a dead LED headlight/tail-light every day. Not a single thing on cars is designed to outlast the warranty.

I have never had this happen ever, tell me about these useless stupid videos you get. In short happy I never experienced those.

Its got to be something on Fords end if its on the app, website, and car.
It's not a server issue. The GWM gets hung up in a funky state causing this issue. It needs to be fully de-energized to hard reset it. DIsconnect the negative cable from he 12v battery for 20 minutes and when you reconnect it and check again, it will make it past the spinning pinwheel.

I think he's talking about the little 5 second video of the Mustang driving on the road or track that pops up when you switch drive modes. I find them enjoyable, personally.

The DRLs can be toggled off in the menu on the Vehicle screen.

I wasn't aware that we had fake engine noise through the speakers.

My biggest complaint (still) is the GIANT volume indicator box that pops up when you change the volume. That could be a simple indicator along the top of the screen. There's plenty of room there for it.

What engine noise?? I can’t hear anything past the H-Pipe, Corsa Axle Back Sport Active Exhaust and Track Mode setting!! I will have to listen more closely to see if I can pick up what you claim!! 😆😉😁

My car received the following OTA update today. It occurred overnight in Dumas TX or this morning while driving from there to Dalhart TX. Received the notification on my car screen in Dalhart.

FYI: My settings have been very stable. No changes in colors, profiles, etc for many months. OTA in March and this one did not change any of my settings.

Now I'm starting to pay attention to this. I haven't had any updates since I purchased the car in March. I have auto update enabled, any day at 1:00 a.m. The car is connected to my home Wi-Fi.

I've tried checking for updates through the Ford app and also directly through the sync 4 system. I check every day or so and no history is displayed either.

I don't get a perpetual spinning icon. The check seems to work takes between 1 and 3 seconds and then just says no updates are available.

I've also checked in my Ford account under vehicle, technology. No software updates or history show there either. Down below it says the car hasn't been updated within the last 90 days

Since day one I've had All of the privacy settings disabled in my Ford account (privacy toggles) except for vehicle location. Vehicle location works normally in the Ford app. Android auto is bad enough but the last thing I'm going to do is let Ford share my driving habits, speed, braking, etc with a 3rd parties.

With that said, is it possible that because I have the privacy settings disabled, that Ford is not able to capture information about software updates and display them in the app or under the vehicle dashboard in my Ford account?

I'm just asking as a possible reason why my vehicle shows no update history or new updates? Interested in hearing others opinions. 🤔
