Really depends on:

A: You want the oil/filter change on your Mustang's Ford service history..........or not/don't care.
B: or, are willing to do DIY, or have a private shop do it for you.

I have the maintenance warranty so dealer does mine it's great I have 4500 kilometer's on my car and have already had three oil and filter changes. It pops up on the screen when I start the car when I reach their set times and then I go in it's great. Now if I didn't have that I would change my own it is not that hard to do if you have the tools.

I did the first one at 2000km. I'll get the dealer to do the others as it has to have a full inspection anyway for warranty purposes.

I agree. Stay away. I had to get a wheel alignment as they screwed it up from the factory. When I went to pick it up there was greasy prints all over the door cards on the center console the steering wheel and on the leather bolsters of the seat. They really don't care and they do not take the time to make sure that the car looks exactly like it when you dropped it off.

I do my own oil changes. I used to work at a dealership as a quick lube tech back in the day and trust me sometimes it’s best to do it yourself lol plus nobody will care more about your stuff than yourself. Not saying that all places won’t care. I didn’t care for other peoples cars but I still treated it as I’d like mine to be treated and also because I care about the quality of my work to reflect my attention to detail, etc. Not many people are like that they just don’t care especially all the young ones in quick lube.

Yes, its under warranty and its free. You also dont have to do any work (change it yourself). It's definitely worth it this time

Huh? What warranty requires an inspection at every oil change? None I'm aware of.

Yep, visual only of all fluid levels, brake pads, etc. Also try to rip you off for topping up washer fluid, some even change wiper blades every service. Any excuse to squeeze out a few bucks more.
Don't they do that in the US?

Anyone with "Fordpass" can enter an oil change into Ford's records just as a dealer can. It isn't necessary to have an oil change in Ford's records but it's easy. I keep my own records anyway.

don’t do it….at some point your car will get damaged….might be the first oil change, might be the 20th….not if but when. It will happen.

In my 35 years of owning cars and trucks with many being purchased new, I have never ever had a dealer or anyone else ever change my my oil. I just don’t trust them, I care way more about my vehicles than any else does. I am an aircraft mechanic and it has instilled perfection in my maintenance routine. I have just documented the oil changes on paper in case of warranty issues, which due to oil issues, never had either. I considered oil changes garage therapy now, good for my mental health!
