Post 54 provided data. Where is yours?

If your argument is that the added wear is insignifican't, that's a different thing.

provided data? 😂 oh one guy with a YouTube channel. Vs countless millions of automobiles. Got it, that’s no data 👌

I'm sorry, I missed it. Where was your data posted? The only thing I saw that you post was that it only provided "warm and fuzzies ".

Your argument would be a lot more convincing if you said it was an insiginifant amount of wear, not no wear.

Rofl. You haven’t even proven anything to warrant an argument. You just said hey look a video on YouTube. So i don’t need an argument when you yourself have none. Just spewing nonsense. It’s not proven to cause an issue and you haven’t shown where it does. So again provide something until then you are just posting hot air and your opinion against millions of vehicles of data.

Well, the video does offer a few datapoints that says it does/could matter. Heck, even I would say it's insignifiant wear over the life of an engine - 40 oil changes or so.

Either way, it doesn't matter, you've got nothing to offer that even suggests it causes no wear.

I'm out.

Says it could matter? Could? You running your mouth about a hypothetical without any solid data? 😆 Yea it doesn’t matter cause you just keep running your mouth about some ifs and have offered no data to counter that prefilling actually does anything. If you can’t prove I’m wrong then what more do I need to do? You just don’t like being challenged on your BS. We got it. You are butthurt.

Mr StangMobile;
In my humble opinion, you bought and paid for one item,and received a different item. Myself, I'd definitely go back and have this fixed. Type O or not. They can claim that but their Type O caused you to feel like you are feeling. Resolution change to what you want. Problem fixed, confidence restored.

Ford will never acknowledge this as it is an annoyance (at this point) not affecting longevity. Early filters even Wix would implode when we ran 1600HP racing engines and split the filters dumping their filter media into the oil. This happened too many times to mention. EVERY engine builder of my day knew this. - every one of them. The shock of a high pressure oil - finally - hitting the internals when oil filters were not pre-filled was problematic.

Don't want any oil-related engine problems its SIMPLE - change (drain) the old oil when its hot - as in normal operating temperature. Fill engine with new oil on a level floor, use the proper weight of Full synthetic, with prefilled oil filter. Fill engine oil to less than a quart full and heat the engine to normal operating temperature. When the oil is hot, add some more until the level on the dip stick fill mark is slightly below the top of the hash mark. Change it more frequently after severe use, dirty roads and certainly before most manuals and oil charts show.

Too bad - I'd go back to that Dealer and give them a second chance showing your paperwork - perhaps they would offer to change the oil and filter for free using the correct 5W30 oil.
