One thing I noticed, the lane keep assist is the worst I've ever seen. It doesn't kick in until you're on top of the line then it jerks you too harshly back to the other line. It's more swervy than me after a case of Miller lite. My GFs 2017 sub 20k corolla does a way better job.
I’ve noticed this too. A civic I used to drive years back as my daily had better lane keep assist by a long shot.

I had to disable it on this vehicle because it just didn’t feel complete.

It does baffle me though how those cheap cars had better implementation of those features. But I guess Ford didn’t really seem like it was a priority for them. Which is fine by me. It’s not the reason why I bought the car.

I did not like adaptive cruise when I first bought my Flex. However, after some long trips, I found that it helps a lot and I love that I don't have to get out of cruise, even in stop and go traffic. I do admit to occasionally not noticing getting behind a slowpoke, The only negative I find is that it maintains enough distance behind the car ahead, that people duck in between.

Because I'm an idiot, I was driving from Omaha to Lincoln for a football game with a truck full of people. As we're talking, I notice I'm getting passed like crazy on the left and I was surprised how many people were going over 80 mph, where I set my cruise. I look down, I'm doing 65 because of the car in front of me was driving so slow, 😂. Shut cruise off and have turned it off on all vehicles since.
It is hardly ACC fault that you failed to notice you were stuck behind a slow vehicle!

The distance is adjustable

Adaptive cruise works in traffic but yes, even the tailgate setting will leave space for everyone in the slow lane to cut you off. The normal setting will let tractor trailers cut you off. It basically turns you into a boomer driver.

Letting the car drive for you already made you a boomer.

You ageist whippersnappers better watch it, or I'll kick yer ass! 😂

As soon as I can get this annoying adaptive cruise on my walker turned off! 😉

I never used the word boomer before, this was my first time. I used the word he used against him since he called it a boomer way to drive on that adaptive setting. Then I said if that is a boomer setting, the whole adaptive cruise control is for boomers.

Yea. I got all that, and thought your boomer comment was quite humorous. No offense taken. 👍

🤣🤣🤣🤣

The closest distance is still more than enough room for some asshat to swoop in and cut you off if you drive through Jacksonville, FL.

Boomer, as in baby boomer. It's an American slang term. -

"In modern internet slang, "boomer" refers to someone, usually older, who is seen as out of touch, resistant to change, and often characterized by close-minded opinions. It's an ironic term, not necessarily targeting baby boomers as a whole, but rather a specific set of attitudes and behaviors. The phrase "OK boomer" is often used to dismiss or reject the older person's statement."

We definitely have a few Boomers on this site. 😉
