I’ve noticed this too. A civic I used to drive years back as my daily had better lane keep assist by a long shot.One thing I noticed, the lane keep assist is the worst I've ever seen. It doesn't kick in until you're on top of the line then it jerks you too harshly back to the other line. It's more swervy than me after a case of Miller lite. My GFs 2017 sub 20k corolla does a way better job.
I had to disable it on this vehicle because it just didn’t feel complete.
It does baffle me though how those cheap cars had better implementation of those features. But I guess Ford didn’t really seem like it was a priority for them. Which is fine by me. It’s not the reason why I bought the car.
