For what's it worth, one of the reasons I traded my S550 was for the upgraded tech in the S650. Those cars were so outdated it was ridiculous (they didn'teven have wireless connectivity in 2023). I didnt realize how bad it was until I went car shopping for my wife and saw how lux new Hyundai's and Kias where by comparison. They make the 23 Mustang seem 10 yeas old. So the fact that people are complaining about the S650 is pretty humorous to me. I say go drive a '23 and appreciate what you have. It was waaay worse before my friends.

So smack asside, my only tech complaint is not having the 360 parking camera. Other than that, there isn't a single thing I want for. I actually prefer the adaptive cruise and lane keeping performance over my wifes Hyundai (which is absolutely trying to copy Lexus). Overall I think Ford did a nice job with the premium package. So saying "it sucks" is just bizarre to me.

I've asked this and not gotten a response, what is missing other than the 360 camera that would make it so much better?

  • Adaptive Cruise Control available in copilot360 package
  • Digital Screen Rear View Mirror/regular mirror combo (the old-fashioned dimming lever is used to change between the two on my Tahoe) Nice but not necessary
  • 360° view capability I love the 360 in my bronco whish the mustang had it for parking or at least front parking sensors.
    • Native supported front facing camera
    • Native supported side cameras
    • Only one rear view camera (two are required for the Digital Screen Rear View Mirror mentioned above) I don't know that two cameras are required just a wide angle camera should work.
  • HUD options
  • Electronically foldable mirrors Export Mustangs have it, but it requires a larger mirror housings.
  • Headlight Dim-on-stop (admittedly, this isn't common in the US at all, but in Japan it's everywhere (and should be mandatory on SUVs)) IT is part of the auto high beam feature in Copilot360
  • Wireless Connected Car We have wireless carplay and android auto as well as over the air updates and in car hot spot.
  • Active drive surroundings monitoring (I've only seen this in Teslas, but it's darn impressive! Not only that, it could have a very real use for racing, drifting, or at the dragstrip) part of copilot 360 it has Lane keep with lane centering. Kind of work as a rudimentary self-driving in conjunction with ACC but you have to keep your hands on the wheel. also, Blis is standard.

I moved into my Dark Horse form a Range Rover Sport (3L hybrid). I was happy to sacrifice a few creature comforts for the thrill of the V8, manual, sports car handling & styling.

That said I’ve been nothing but impressed by the tech in my car. It’s got the auto fold mirrors, adaptive cruise, wireless car play etc. Plus a load of stuff that I turn off as soon as I get in!

If I was being completely fussy, I’d like the front parking sensors. The RRS made me lazy in this respect and the low driving position & long bonnet of the Mustang can be a challenge on tight UK roads but never really been an issue.

But ultimately when you open up that V8, I wouldn’t care if the thing didn’t even have a radio.

FWIW, I'm getting front sensors fitted. They're switched with ign on and armed when the brake pedal is pressed lightly. $NZ450 fitted. I'm sure you have similar in the Mother Country.
They were supposed to be done yesterday but the silly bugger didn't realise they go on black trim and had them painted Grabber Blue.

post a pic and tell us how it works once you get it back. Brand also. Yrs, know you’re in NZ.
