Put the RTR splitter on today, along with the undertray extension. First off, I didn't take the front end off. Not sure if that is necessary... there are only 2 of the clips that are a bit hard to get to. Only took about an hour for the splitter itself... the undertray was a bit more work. The splitter looks great and fits well. By itself it has a bit of flex, which the undertray really stiffens up. The fit of the undertray could be better. The drivers side fit up great, and everything looked good. But when putting in the passenger side, it looked like it could use a bit more room in the groove on the right side of the driver's side piece, as the passenger side piece was a little to far to the right. Loosened the screws and got it over enough for holes to line up, but the right side of the passenger piece wouldn't allow the lip to sit flush on that side. I ended up shaving about 1/8" from the right side of the bottom lip of the splitter so it would sit in the lip in the undertray like it should. Finally got all of the screws in and looked pretty good, except the holes for the plastic rivets were off. The one on the driver side were extremely difficult, and passenger side was impossible. Had to open holes up a bit to get the rivets in... after ruining a couple trying to get them in. @ RTR, GOT A PART NUMBER FOR THOSE? I may have to drill some new holes with some new rivets to hold better. It is in place and holding, but some of the rivets look as they could pull out at anytime. Overall looks great and will have to see how it holds up.

Legit man - looks great. It's on my list - didn't actually realize there were two pieces.

What a difference a splitter makes. You took that Ecoboost and made it pop! Looks great!

Thanks. The base model S550 had more splitter than the little "winglets" on the HPP S650... always looked like the front end was missing something.

Car looks great. What’s your impressions of it so far?
Thanks. I have only got a couple hundred miles so far, but really liking it! I keep crossing my fingers for better weather so I can drive it more!

Hard to tell from the photos. Does the plastic of the RTR splitter look the same as the OEM plastic side skirt and rear lower valance plastic? (Same texture, color, etc.)

The color is real close... but all of the factory plastic has a bit of texture, whereas the RTR splitter has a satin finish. You do have to get real close to tell the difference though.

It's good to know it can be done without taking front bumper off. Any particular steps or notes you would share? Which clips were you noting as being the difficult ones to access?

Thanks

Am I the only one who sees what looks like wood grain texture in the OPs 2nd and 3rd photos?
Yes it does look like wood grain... wood used for the molds?

There are two clips for the splitter right in the center that are under the grill and a bit difficult to reach... I used a long screwdriver to help them out once all the rest were popped loose. The splitter itself was pretty easy... If doing the undertray as well, just watch the fit of everything (rivet holes included). It may be easier to get all of the undertray screws in and leave loose until you get the plastic rivets in... or not. A little trimming may help in some spots as I had done.

How much farther does this extend the front of your car? And assuming it lies slightly lower than OEM as well?

You can see why I'm asking...

LOl... I have a bit more room lengthwise in my garage! That is sure a tight fit.

Yes it does make the car longer... by 3", and about 1.5" lower in front.
