2026 DHP. No schedule set in Ford App, but I do have quiet mode for remote start enabled in Sync4. (No schedule)

When I remote start the active exhaust starts in normal mode. Normal being one step to the right of quiet. I don't really have a set schedule, like leaving the house for work so I've not bothered to set up a quiet time schedule. I thought if I had quiet mode enabled that it would start in quiet mode.

Information I've found seems to conflict with some saying all you have to do is have the toggle enabled and other saying you have to have the toggle set to enabled and a schedule set. Based on the behavior it seems like it wants a schedule.

So I assume toggle on with no schedule defaults to normal mode, and toggle on with a schedule set honors the set times? I should have some time to test more today but would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks,

It worked in my gen3 set from 10pm to 10pm basically 24 hour quiet start. It never worked in my two gen4 cars. Not sure why but never did. I messed with it here and there and gave up.

When it first starts it takes a few seconds maybe 15 or 30 to click into quiet mode. Mine does this, the only way around it is to turn on ignition then hit quiet mode and then start and it will be in quiet mode, its still sounds slightly louder when first start but its on.

As other have said, I think it requires a schedule. Also, some members report no quiet mode if starting from the fob.

Thanks for all the replies. From the beginning, I did notice that the car is noticeably louder for the first 15 - 30 seconds. However, it defaults to normal mode. (Quiet toggle on, no schedule set).

I'm going to try setting a schedule. Maybe 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m and see if I like that. It's mostly for my wife. There's a bathroom between the master bedroom and garage. It's pretty loud in normal and above modes, and I want to continue getting along well with my neighbors too.

There's a guy close by me with several hot rods, including one the supercharged Mopars, and a drag race setup F body. My Mustang with headers w/o cats is way, way louder. Quiet mode is my default now.

It will only start in quiet mode if you have a schedule programmed.

It's always a plus if there's a noisier neighbour or two. I have a '32 Ford/351 and a boi racer Altezza two doors way each side. I'm the good guy.

The guy across the street has a Harley and his thing is to roar off down the street when he takes off. I should be able to remain the "good" neighbor 😇

Our neighbor diagonally across the street from us has a Ram truck with the Hellcat engine. It's just about as loud as our Mustang, so he doesn't mind ours starting up. Our quiet mode schedule is 10 pm to 8 am.

A '32 Ford must be a rare site where you are. Definitely no quiet start on my '32 Ford 🤣 .

I have my dark horse set on a timer now but before I found the timer, I use to press the start button with foot off the brake to engage the ignition then press the button with the horse 🐎 emblem and choose the quiet mode, uk based
