Pretty odd my service advisor said he has over 30 years experience with Ford and has never heard of these type of engine issues. Well at least my issue but none the less a valve train issue.
It's a first for me never had a new car with engine issues.

S650 performance GT in for 3rd oil change at 8811k miles. Engine was 1.5 qts low. Transmission, 10 speed auto, also shudders during normal driving. Anybody have any predictions? Ford wats me to leave it with them for at least a week.

Engine finally replaced. Tech said the passenger side manifold was full of oil. Well we know it was internal. Now starts the break in period.
Good to hear. Sorry you had to go through that. At least the warranty process worked. Enjoy the car. Hopefully your problems are all behind you.

That is good news, how long did they take to replace it once the work order was in? Hopefully the did a good job and everything is new looking still. I get nervous anytime Ford works on my car, afraid they might scratch something up or leave loose

I'm like you I don't like anybody touching my car. The process was seem less and this dealer has an excellent engine guy. Spoke with him several times before the swap and when they got the new engine delivered they even let me look it over. All in all took about a month after they got all the parts in and then 3 days to replace it. Had a few minor issues when I got it back but they took care of them on the spot.

My 2019 might be rare, but it’s the first Mustang I’ve owned since 1986 (this is my 6th one) that consumes absolutely no oil! None. Nada. Zilch.

If you don't see any obvious oil leaks... do a leak down test. That will tell you a lot.

@Eli GT ..... I always check my oil when it is hot. I let it drain down for 10-15 minutes, any longer won't yield much difference. Agreed - I don't trust original factory fills, dealer PDI or service departments to provide the correct oil level. I always check.

I bought a 2025 Mustang GT late last year and I am also experiencing oil consumption issues. I first checked at around 600 miles and I was at about 40% of the hash marks. I went ahead and scheduled an appointment with the dealer I purchased it at. By the time my appointment came up, I had gotten to around 815 miles, and the oil level had further lowered to about the 20-25% on the hash marks.

They kept it for about a week and said it wasn’t leaking and topped the oil off. They overfilled it, but nothing crazy. Oddly, they put a mark on the dipstick, but the mark was nowhere near where they filled it to.

The whole reason I checked in the first place was because I was seeing oil residue all over the rear end. It’s continued to accumulate, letting me know it’s still sucking down oil, but I know they won’t take it seriously until I am past the 3000 mile mark. Service advisor claims this is all normal, but if that were the case, they should have sent me home with 5 quart container of oil, because at this rate I’m going to need to add a quart every 1000 miles or so.

I bought a new car to NOT have to deal with monitoring oil consumption. I can have that same experience on my 25 year old Corvette!

Your catalytic converters must be soaked/coated if oil is seeping out the rear.

Oil Residue - it’s powder by the time it exits the tail pipes

my 6 spd 24 gt used exactly 1 qt in the first 1500 miles and has never used a drop in the 2000 miles since. Gentle break-in and increased RPMs by a few hundred every few hundred miles and finally went to near redline at 1500 miles.
