Oil change @ dealer?

My Mustang is too new to have an LOF, so I don't know what that charge will be? For my 2019 Ranger, for filter and oil, the bottom line is $115. Even Jiffy Lube is almost $80 (I don't use them!). Somebody is making a good profit.

The dealer where I bought my 2024 Mustang provides free oil changes entire rotations for two years. However, they use a synthetic blend. I’m getting my first oil change soon. I mentioned I want synthetic only and he said they’ll add something to make it synthetic. Snake oil?

what are they talking about?

My dealer will "add" $20 to the price to make it (use) full synthetic.
