Once you get to calculate price, look for price breakdown that shows you the invoice. I've checked with Ford's invoice pricing and it seems to be accurate.

How does that make sense? How will they give you a special car lower than MSRP

I am saving many thousands of dollars with Granger vs buying at any of the 4 or 5 dealers I contacted in Colorado. The negative is that they require a non refundable $1k deposit. I think most other places have a much lower deposit and it is refundable.

I have already posted the numbers once before but here they are again.

Dealer doc fee: $180
Temp Tag: $45
MSRP for my build: $57175
Invoice: $54363.12
Granger Price: $53251.52

The best I could get in CO when calling the dealers was MSRP + $480 dealer fee.

I will make a post summarizing the whole experience once the purchase is complete but so far I am saving nearly $4k on just the purchase price without the fees.

My dad and I are taking the trip to pick the car up so it should be an awesome memory.

I went with Granger for my Mach 1. Thanks to Zach I was able to get mine in the single year Velocity Blue. I’ve only ever seen another one in pictures. Go for it.

I’m pretty sure his car is a GT so not a “special car” if it was a dark horse that would be unheard of. I talked the Granger when I heard about there deal to understand how they are offering that pricing and found out that invoice pricing isn’t actually what the dealer pays for that there is also holdback which like an additional buffer that allowed the dealer to sell at invoice and still make a profit not sure how much it is though. I would have went with granger but got my dealer to match their offer so saved me a trip up their lol

I don't really know. Probably to do with kickbacks from Ford for selling a high volume. They have been doing this for years it seems on mustang6g for s550 mustang gt. Think those were 4% below invoice at one time.

I will post about the entire experience when it's over and see if I get an answer to that question.

Yep! Ordered 3/28 & still no date or VIN! Anyone have a link to this ford chat? How does that work? What info will they need or want? Is it even worth my time to contact them?

Ford marketing doesn’t make any sense to me. Back in 2019 I ordered a GT350 On Jan 11th. Feb 28th I find out the dealer didn’t have an allocation. I’m a customer, money in hand that wants to purchase a car and Ford says no, go to a different dealer. Luckily the owner of the dealership owned 2 dealers. They ordered the car from the other dealer 48 days later. The car was built on May 1st. After 9 delivered date changes It was delivered on Aug 2d. No explanation from Ford. Ford is saying they’re losing money, I don’t want to hear it! They have customers money in hand that want to purchase a car and they say NO, go to different dealer OR! We’re only building so many! Not to mention the ridiculous dealer mark ups! Two of my friends placed orders with Ford and they were so pissed, one bought a Camaro, the other a Challenger. Ford just doesn’t seem to care!

I think your right, they don’t seem to care. If my delivery date of 6/27-7/4 isn’t met I’ll do the same thing and save at least 10k

You can still save a couple of thousands, just become a Mustang Club of America member for $35 and you qualify for X-plan pricing which is pretty much invoice pricing. Most dealers honor it.
On the topic here, I placed my order with a dealer in my area that was highly rated. First I went in person and the people there told me I can't place an order until probably the end of the year, that was around March-April. I though that maybe those guys just didn't know what's going on and when the order banks open, still strange for someone working there and I know they don't have issues with allocations because they always have Mach 1s and Raptors so they sell good and have good relationship with Ford. So I still tried with them a month later, this time online and they accepted my order. I got the confirmation email from Ford a couple of weeks later, too. A couple more weeks later I asked the dealer for my order number but they didn't give it to me until I asked 5 times for it and Ford still says they can't find such an order. Their communication is horrible, it's like I'm asking them for money when I'm actually trying to give them some. So I placed another order with a different dealer and they are so much better. The point is, there are dealers(or maybe some employees) that really don't know what they are doing at least when it comes to factory ordering. It's a free market, if they are not competent enough and don't want your money, go with someone that would appreciate your business.

Lots of excuses found on why we don't have build dates. Ford fired 8,000 with lots of experience and that is showing up in their performance.

This is the real answer. Just wait til next week comes around and they axe more for the sake of it because their competitor, Tesla, operates with less under duress.

Ordered my GT PP NP on 5/23 from a local dealer that is a authorized roush dealer, thinking they would get "priority" allocations. I still don't have a VIN or anything, but that could also be that I have the nite pony package...

Man then I might be affected by that too. I will know more once I see more DH with AP and HP get build dates.

I ordered that spec on March 27th, got three emails. Confirmation, 45 day, another one that didn't mention 45 days. Nothing since. No VIN, No date. Still patiently waiting!
