Not long enough, do it for 15-20 minutes, set a timer, then report back!I disconnected the battery for 2 minutes tops. 30 minutes? Never heard of such a long time needed.

Sorry you're having issues. It sounds like a minor fix and I'm sure it will be quickly resolved at the dealer. Unfortunately you can't just walk in without an appointment for service these days. Be patient and try not to get down on the car.I have some annoying issues with my new Mustang.
I picked up the Mustang from the dealer, brand new, two days ago.
I covered some miles and discovered quickly that the cruise control buttons, lane assist and drive modes did not work.
I read here and there that reset of Sync 4 should help. It didn't.
I visited the dealer today, but it was too busy to check it, so I was scheduled for this coming Wednesday. When I got home, I checked the fuse box, pressed all the fuses down, and some clicked as if they were loose.
I checked the left buttons on the steering wheel, and they all worked. I was delighted, but my happiness did not last long.
This evening my son asked to take him for a short ride, and I quickly discovered the cruise control, driving modes, and lane assist did not work back again. The whole left cluster on the steering wheel is dead again.
My 2008 GT is more reliable.
Glad it was easy. Enjoy your car!The glitch seems to be fixed, which makes me happy and grateful.
The box (Terminal Connector Strip), or whatever it is properly called, was disconnected in the steering wheel. I got a new soft, and all works as it should. It took them more than 3 hours to fix it.
Time to enjoy the car.
Thank you all for your contribution and words of support.
I need to revive this thread.
Unfortunately, after 4 hour service with new soft and corrected terminal connector in the wheel, I enjoyed the car for one day. The car was serviced last Wednesday, and on Friday it all broke again.
Moreover, I discovered that during a road trip, the inability to turn off the lane assist, no adaptive cruise ctrl, no modes for slippery roads are making this car an annoying ( beeps and sounds) box on four wheels.
I need to leave the car for at least 3 days at the dealer's.
Unfortunately, in Poland it doesn't work like this. I can say I have some semi VIP status as their client, due to the fact I bought a Baby Raptor. It gives me kind of upper hand, not much and I still appreciate what I get. These issues are ridiculous! I canāt even imagine! For needs to provide you with a new car and take this one back to figure out what went wrong!
Thats a little extreme. plus buy backs dont work like that. From the sound of it, the dealer did figure out the simple electrical issue (not issues), and their fix just didn't hold up. Sounds to me like they need to replace that wiring instead of just playing with the connectors. I'm sure it will get resolved easily and permanently this time. These issues are ridiculous! I didn't either. And unfortunately this site doesn't show the country of origin next to your avatar. Seems like we have A LOT of foreign members here. When I made my response I did not realize that this was in Poland. Definitely complicates things, but hopefully all resolved quickly and completely.
