Finally someone who shares my viewpoint. The bass defo is on the lower end - i also have a focus ST with sync 3.2 and the equalizer settings are the same - but on the DH - the bass is just too low!

EQ and rolloff problems aside, the speaker has no echo box for starters. It's aimed sideways which again doesn't help at all. If you want good bass you're looking at a PROPER enclosure nestled behind the seats and a dedicated driver and an EQ/Amp to balance everything out.I've been looking for folks that have replaced their subwoofers and if it helps or not. The bass is awful.
I'm a girl so... wiggle away I guess.that's not what real men call bass. Yes it's a nice beat to wiggle your ass to, sure...
Listen to a cello or even actual string bass (not guitars).
Or better yet dazed and confused by zeppelin. Not to be rude but using Billie Jean as your benchmark for good bass isn't really what I would expect a modern sound system to react to.
Try A Milli by Lil Wayne on volume 20 and let us know how that goes.
Also if your source is garbage, you're going to have bad bass. What're you listening to?
You could also try "Where we're going" from Interstellar (He he). The last minute. Not to be rude but using Billie Jean as your benchmark for good bass isn't really what I would expect a modern sound system to react to.

I was listing to the Piano Man on the radio today and I thought the base was a bit heavy. Might have been my hearing because I can't hear anything above 5k but I can clearly hear base that will rumble your stomach. I think the solution to the lack of base is to fold the back seats down. They have to be soaking up a good deal of base.Oh yeah. I threw on "Billie Jean" and popped the trunk open. Bass sounds pretty good in the trunk but not in the rest of the car.
I love music and have a tendency to crank it. However when driving my 24 GT I find myself turning the volume down and listening to the Coyote speak to me!Weird - it hits pretty good in my S550 hmmm
Wait- why you all listening to music- roll down your windows and listen to the exhaust scream...best music out there : )
Try these settings. This is what I have. It has a satisfying “pop” of the bass.
