on the center dash install, i followed another member’s suggestion of using two layers of 2x sided tape

I can also confirm correct, despite the description. I bought and used them on my 2025 GT.

That’s my set-up except I managed to use the original subwoofer cover and trim. The original cover stands out just a little but not noticeable unless you’re looking. Definitely system improvement!

I too did the sub and center speaker mod. Significantly improved the sound to where I am now happy that it sounds like good enough I'm glad I ordered it. Sad, that we have to mod it to get that sound. I chose the Pioneer sub, since the screw holes were in the same orientation as OEM, and with a little Dremel to the speakers screw holes, was able to utilize the OEM subwoofer trim making it appear perfectly stock.

I recently purchased my retirement Mustang and checked all the boxes. The only thing I was disappointed in is the B&O sound system. The B&O system is very front center biased. The center speaker is very bright, brassy and shrill. No lower midrange and the highs are not pure/crisp - hurts my ears. And the very poor OEM sub speaker is absolute crap. Very "muddy" and the harmonics overwhelm the somewhat reasonable door speakers.

As you all have probably found, I couldn't adjust the system to get any good low-mid range or bass without muddy sound. Simply moving the balance rearward doesn't work, since the center speaker is biased so loud and the others so quiet, plus the center lacks any lower midrange. You also cannot up the bass because of the very poor sub harmonics.

The biggest bang for the buck is the new sub, which cleans up the bass and allows you to up the bass volume to get the door woofers and mids going. I found by putting the balance one notch rearward worked the best. The Pioneer has a sensitivity of 75, which may be a good thing since it allows me to turn the base up, getting the door and rear woofers going. Now I have a very balanced sound and decent low bass.

Some people who want body shaking bass may want to go with the Harmonix sub since it has a higher sensitivity 86, but you'll have to use speaker bars/won't look OEM.

The Dayton Audio speaker is a good upgrade to the center speaker. I purchased a 3D printed adapter from Ion Silviu Luga on a facebook forum to install. The speaker has subtly slighly less sensitivity (good thing, more balanced system). It has much more accurate highs, no shrill harmonics. Also has decent low-mids, so slightly warmer and better for a front biased center speaker. I do wish there were a wider selection of 8 ohm 3.5in replacement speakers that would fit, but this is it. I listened to both (installing back and forth) and it is definitely much better sound.

I don't know about "body shaking" (that would require an additional amplifier) ... though 86db sensitivity will give a bit more.

The bar style grill isn't necessarily the only option; you could use a grill made to fit whatever speaker you choose.

This one (Alpine, 85db) required a spacer ring glued in behind to bring the speaker out enough to get the grill on easily. The spacer ring also gives extra thickness for new (8) holes to mount the speaker. This does require more work as the spacer needs some "machine work" to fit over the bumps on the enclosure. Though it also opens up the use of virtually any 10" sub... giving a bit more depth.

and the bars still work if you feel the added protection is needed (I didn't).

To the OP, just to clarify, the first item you list is a 10" woofer. The second is a 3.5 round speaker, is this for the center of the dash? The third is a pair of door harness adapters, but I don't see any door speakers listed. What am I missing?
I already have a Skar Audio 8" woofer with their box and a 350W amp, but looking to upgrade the other speakers, on my factory 9 speaker system.

Adapters are for subwoofer, not doors.

OBTW I might have a Pioneer 10in sub available soon, $30 plus shipping.
