Interestingly enough, i saw the first Australian Dark Horse ive seen scheduled for October on FB. Crazy that happened before a lot of the day 1 orders

The dealer "said" they checked with the regional manager when I placed my order saying they they had 3 allocations. I am beginning to think they told a fib!

Just to get you to pkace an order so you buy from them my dealer told me they didnt have any allocations when i ordered mine when order banks opened

They most likely meant 3 for MY24. That is an 18 month period, they will get 3 dark horse allocations in that period, that averages 1 every 6 months. They didn't have 3 immediately, but all dealers were told how many to expect over an 18 month period. All dealers were promised at least 1 (over 18 months), some were given more.

My dealer was promised 3 for MY24, they have scheduled one already in June for August scheduling. Im hoping i dont have to wait until December for them to get their second, but it hasn't happened yet.

Here is a screenshot from before the banks opened. All the dealers got how many regular mustangs plus how many dark horse mustangs they would get for the 18 month period. Again ,that didnt mean they got that allocation right away, they get them throughout the 18 month period. There was info that said they would build 1 DH for every dealer before starting round 2 for anyone, dont know if that held true. If you look at posts from late February on this form, that is when all of this info was floating around.

For black painted roof, did not say exhausted. So by this 847 non DH orders, 40% (508 orders) call for Black roof, can only produce 13% (66 orders) so they only have 66 Black roof panels?
or am I way way off here?

The painted roof issue has to be a process problem, some sort of “moving pieces on the production floor” thing that’s not being routed efficiently. They can’t be short on the paint. I can’t believe it’s a material shortage. So as they get the bigger issues worked out for production, they will eventually get to the issue holding up the black painted roof and sort it out.
