I've recently seen a lot of threads about water spots, ceramics and detail/finishing sprays. One thing im surprised by is how little people know about rinsless washing. Im not a detailer. But this method was tought to me by one, and Ive been doing it for about two years now. Its ideal for cars that have already been ceramic coated or waxed. Note that heavy dirt and mud should still be washed traditionally with a hose or sprayer. Once you have the right materials and products, its much faster and easier than traditional washing. You can do it in your garage rather than out in the sun. It is complety safe, and does not mare your finish. Plus it eliminates water spots!

Below is an excellent how to video that explains and answers all the questions you may have. Please note I have no affiliation with The Rag Company or its products. And im getting no kickbacks. I just want to pass on some knowledge that I think most of you will enjoy.

This is a kit that comes with everything you'll need that is currently on sale at the Rag Compay and is a SCREAMING deal. I personally use P&S Absolute Rinseless wash and Beadmaker and they are both excellent products.

Let me know of you have any questions.

For many years, rinseless washing has been my standard for cars that only go out in nice weather... I still like full rinse and water wash with daily drivers...

Agreed, mine parks outside all year. Its ceramic coated with Gtechniq CSL and EXO V5 but I'll only do rinseless if it's been a long period without rain and it's just a little dusty. Anything more than that and it's a full wash. Bilt Hamber Touch-less -> rinse -> Carpro Reset foam cannon and bucket wash.

I just got that sponge and will be using it this weekend. You can also use CLEAN micro fiber towels folded 3 ways instead of that sponge. After you wet the car surface, dunk the towel, fold it, and wipe in one direction. Flip to a clean section of the cloth as needed, and repeat until you need a new towel. Dont dunk the dirty towels and re-use like with the sponge as the dirt will stick to the microfiber towels. The towels will require washing between use and I wouldn't recommend reusing them as buffing towels.

Also of note, you can use clean rinseless water solution in a spray bottle and use as a detail spray for any spot cleaning (fingerprints and bird poop). It also works great on glass.

I just did a rinseless wash on both cars in my garage. I drove the Mustang to work all week. There was a good layer of dust on it. I really like the Ultra Safe Sponge. Took about 10 min to do the Porsche and 20 min for the Mustang. No streaks or water spots. The finish feels smooth like a fresh wax. Note that both cars are ceramic coated so dirt comes off real easy. Bead Maker was applied last time so no need to re-apply for another few weeks.

P&S Absolute + Bead Maker is such a brilliant combination, doesn't get any slicker!

I was very late to rinse-less, mainly because I had issues trusting the process. While I still have a very low rinse-less threshold, it's now very much part of my skillset.

Something worth noting, the term "rinse-less" doesn't mean you can't rinse before washing. That was the game changer for me, pre-rinsing first to blow off the dust, then applying the pre-soak and commencing the wash.

Absolutely. I tell people all the time that if you car is real dirty, or if you're just worried about the process, just give it a power spray first and then do the risneless method. It still saves you wash and drying time.
