So I don't see this one mentioned anywhere. Seems at speeds of 60 mph or more, my hood seems to be moving an awful lot from the sides.

Has anyone else noticed this on their Dark Horse or GT?

Is there a fix?

I'll try to get a video of it.

I see it as well. I have not searched for a fix as I think it's just the flex in the hood being pushed down and the air escaping through the vent. Are the hoods aluminum, so they've got a little more flex than steel?

There are several adjustments.... screw the hood stops out (2 hex shaped rubber bumpers), If they don't go far enough or the hood is held up too much, then adjusting the hood latch down will take care of it. On my S650, I was able to do it with just the hood stops, on my S550, I had to adjust the latch down a bit. The dealer can do this for you if it is beyond your capabilities... but I prefer to keep my car away from them as much as possible.

The hood wobble has been around since like the S197 generation, possibly even earlier. Not really an issue per say but if it bothers you there are a few things you can do to get rid of it.

I can confirm my GT hood was elevating far too much for my comfort at highway speeds. When I did my first oil change I mentioned this to the dealer and they told me the hood latch needed adjusting. I have not had any issues since and it rides solid. If you're not comfortable with doing the fix above yourself, take it in to a dealer for a quick remedy.

I guess Ford has not fixed this issue of hood flutter either...It was a known problem with S550.

I can confirm it on the DH. I pulled asside on the way from the dealer to check if it was correctly locked. Other Mustang owners told me to ignore it.

My 2003 GT did it as well. Made me nervous at first but I moved the the 2 bumpers higher and it got better. Not perfect but better. Seems to be common .

How do you adjust the hood latch? I’ve moved my bump stops multiple times and still there

Loosen a couple nuts and slide it down... the bolts go through oversized holes (square), just be careful as it will move side to side some if you let it... though I actually had to make those holes larger with a Dremel on the S550 to get it right.

you are all awesome. I am taking it in for my after break in oil change and will have them look at it. Hopefully the last time the dealer sees this car. LOL

Mine does it and so did my 07 GT. I thought it was a Mustang thing.

So I brought it in last week for an after break in oil change and they fixed 90% of the hood wobble I'd say. They said that they adjusted the hood stops. My worry was if the hood would sit too high. The real test is tonight as my buddy really noticed it and I'll see if he sees the difference. LOL. I'm just glad it could be adjusted. Thank you for all your help.

Yeah I def notice this on my 2024 Ecoboost premium. Gonna see if they can adjust it when I take it for its first oil change this weekend. It freaks me out… sitting much lower to the hood than I did in my 2011 explorer, I notice it all the time and constantly am wondering if the hood is latched all the way even though I know it is..
