Damn is it really that little? I'll take a side profile pic on the weekend and see if what I think I am seeing it real. There is a good chance it is not. LOL
So problem solved. I was able to find the Micheline PS4 - 315/30/R19 - 305/30/R19 and the car finally drives like a car. Very little tramlining. I went to turn off the lane assist but it seemed to only have a low setting. I have to dig deeper.
So overall first impressions are:
- The PS4 tires...
That is a really good point and didn't notice until I read this. That insane amount of pebbles that those tires would pickup certainly did stop as they wore out.
Problem should be solved, found a place that has the Michelin PS4S.
315/30/19 and 305/30/19. Cost $3000.00 Canadian after tax. OUCH...
LOL, no worries I appreciate your time. Sounds like I could mix them but the R would be cheaper. They don't have any in stock.
Like you suggested I may wait for Spring. I just wanted the new tires to see if the ride changed enough that I would enjoy it.
Thanks again,
THanks for your replies. SO here is a dumb question. I received a quote from Black Circle:
MICHELIN Pilot Sport 4 S 305/30 ZR19 102Y - 2 * $792.97
MICHELIN Pilot Sport 4 S 315/30 R19 104Y - 2 * $606.00
- Why would the Smaller front tires be ZR and the Rear be R.
- Is there a difference and...
Hey MCS thanks for your reply. I have quite the dilemma finding 4 tires at the original configuration. I have found Continental Extreme Sport Contact 2 but the rears I can find are 325. Can't seem to confirm if those will fit well and handle well. They have the fronts at 305. I can't even see...
I'm afraid to tell you that this post offered no information at all except an attempt to make someone feel bad for their decision. No value whatsoever. It's all over the net about how these tires wear out fast and yes, as much as it is a track ready car, who is going to drive 5000 miles on a...
Thanks again for the replies.
Now I am a bit torn. Would love that big tire look but I have to admit the way the Dark Horse sits the tire width does not really show.
Alternatively, so would you run 305 front and back? And from what I read it would likely handle better than the 325 rear? I do...
So are you saying go with 305 all around? Has anyone used this configuration and found it to be a great ride?
I've seen people mention going to 325 but wanted to confirm the COntinentals would fit. I did see a guide that said they would, but their website will not approve it for this car.
I definitely don't drive in the Winter but it will sit in my garage for those cold months. At times it would hit below -7 C. So if I am not driving would this be an issue?
Thanks for all your replies. Can't find the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S.
So due to availability and price the best I can find are:
Continental Extreme Contact Sport 2
325/30/R19 - 305/30/R19
I think I am going with BlackCircle.ca (Canadian Site)
Does anyone have this configuration with...
Damn, this car should come with a warning label about the tires. I laughed when they told me it was at 50% at 5000 km. I'll get on replacing those tires now.
Thanks for your help,
