I very much appreciate the replies (especially Sky's thorough evaluation)! You have put my mind at ease.
The dealer could have done a better job to earn my trust. They dismissed my concern without evaluation. You guys are different. Thank you!
I am looking for opinions on my engine sound at idle (after warming up). It seems to be always present but a lot worse after this last oil change. I have heard the type writer tick before but I thought it was supposed to emanate from underneath the car on the passenger side. These recordings are...
Thanks for the quick reply. Could having the front of the car higher than the rear have an affect on how well the oil drains out? I would think it should help matters but not necessarily.
I just changed my oil for the first time (dealer did one before this). I had the front wheels on ramps and drained for at least an hour. I replaced the filter as well. I filled to just under 9 quarts and the dipstick didn't register any oil. I decided to dump the rest of the second jug in (10...
I have that noise as well. It goes away when I rest my hand on the right center vent in front of the touch screen. It comes back when I remove my hand.
Is there a different set for magnaride? I didn't think TPMS had anything to do with that. The dealer told me the second TPMS skew had metal stems and doesn't know why.
What about these wheels on American Muscle? They are super inexpensive. Would they be okay for a set of winter wheels? Going to do squared but my stock setup is offset Performance package. I'm planning on Pilot Sport All season 4s.
Magnetic Style Gloss Black Wheel; 19x8.5
I'm dealing with the same issues as I am working on a second set of tires/wheels/TPMS for winter.
I contacted parts at my dealer and they weren't really sure what was needed. There are two parts listed for our car and the only difference they noted was rubber vs metal stems. They believed the...
I did the Hairpin with my daughter on the 5th (the very first day). It was a blast! She doesn't drive manual but she got to ride with me for two sets of warm up/training laps. I was able to do both rounds with the instructor after the training. I didn't want to go home.
You can bring your own...
I've had the oil changed twice (each at a different dealer). Both times there was evidence left on the car. I recommend reaching down there to wipe up the mess.
I have that sound as well. It seems to come and go - and the reason I haven't taken to the dealership yet. Likely, they will want the car for a day or more and it won't make the sound.
I am taking the family on a Tennessee / Charlotte vacation driving from Indianapolis the first full week of August. I'm pretty sure I am going to be there on the first day they offer the unleashed training (August 5th) for 2024 owners. I am doing the medium event (manual). I wanted to do the...

I have been out of the Radar detector scene for 20 years.
Why did you guys go with the R8? It looks like the V1 Gen 2 has better app support and perhaps connectivity to Android Auto?
If you have the time and patience there is always the option of doing it yourself.
I did the entire front bumper, head lights, first 3rd of the hood, 2 inches around the wheel wells, front 2 inches of the roof, white strips to left and right of wind shield, mirrors, and door handles (& behind...
5.0 performance pack with everything on it - highest I have seen is 202. Normally, I hover around 198 and that is when taking off hard every chance I get. I googled safe oil temperature a couple of weeks ago and found answers ranging from 225 - 260 to be safe.
@JAM486HP perhaps you aren't...
