Some of my favorite pieces of info but I highly recommend reading articles on it, super impressive platform that seems to solve basically all the issues with EVs.

The 0-60 will be comparable to a mustang Ecoboost, so about 4.5 seconds in a 30k small truck lol.

It actually has more downforce than a mustang.

The center of gravity is super low, even lower than normal EVs.

Excellent suspension tuning that's gonna make it handle super well.

The platform can be used on a ton of different body styles

As someone who loves everything, ICE, hybrids, and yes, even the occasional EV, this is insanely impressive. A really well engineered, affordable, compelling EV platform that I can totally see serving as the base for a future run of affordable enthusiasts vehicles.

You can be cynical all you want, but ford promised these EVs wouldn't be boring, and they delivered. A 30k EV that's as fast as a mustang, can power my house for 6 days, and handles like a sports car, that's definitely not boring imo lol

My initial reaction to this is there's no way it'll launch starting at $30K.
Why not? Complete with manual crank generator and handy handle stored under the rear seating. The model e-t is more than just inspirational it’s historical.

The closest look we get at the design is under the tarp. As someone else noted, and I agree, you see a pretty sharp/strong brow shape on the front, kinda similar to the mustang. It gives off muscle truck/ranchero vibes which is fitting because Ford just filed a trademark to use that name on an electric vehicle.

Overall, badass.

......just more ev garbage.
I mean it's better than most gas cars you can get for 30 grand, like normal people commuter cars I mean. Everyone has their own preferences, I love a great V8 sports car, but I also love an EV if it takes a unique approach. There are a lot of advantages to an EV, lower ownership costs, better reliability (I know haters deny this) more refined and quiet, more space, and the potential to look better thanks to more packaging flexibility.

The EV thing only bothers me if it replaces like stuff with a ton of character, like replacing the V8 mustang with an EV would be a mistake imo, because you lose so much soul. But I personally believe when it comes to your normal sedans, hatchbacks, trucks and SUVs, the types of cars most people drive, EVs are just better.

An EV truck sport truck is cooler than a Tacoma with a sewing machine engines imo.

EVs definitely are not the way to go for most people and depreciation on them is way worse. I'd take a gas powered truck over an EV truck any day of the week. Also, nothing is more annoying than to hear an EV parking with that stupid hum noise they make.

For town toting not bad but heavy hauling not as efficient. Think factory fork lift, bread deliveries and city busses. But then again if usps can’t make them work. a miniature motion machine isn’t half bad as long as it doesn’t take twice as long to go half as far.

There is no way an EV is economical to make or own, ALL costs considered. One does not have to take cost accounting to know this. Oops, what are we going to do when the grid is tapped out? It will not catch up with what is going on now.
