Ford has no clue who their customers are the GTD is way overpriced and not even for the regular Mustang buyer. Chevy is selling a 233 mph Corvette for 174,000 + and we got this 325,000+ GTD that cannot even be bought by a regular Mustang customer you have be some youtuber to get one. I think chevy is doing it wright making as many Corvette's as their customers want. Mustang sells are down because they are over pricing the Mustang for what performance they are delivering. This is just my opinion I have bought allot of Mustangs in my life but do not have one because Ford has dropped the ball with what they are charging for the new ones. I will not pay GT500 or GT350 Shelby prices for a 5.0 performance level Mustang. Ford has lost their minds especially with the quality level they are ponying up with the new Mustang.

They also just had their lowest year of sales in the history of the brand....

What used to be fun about the Mustang was it was cheap fast but kind of crappy but that made it fun because ......well because it was cheap you could afford to modify it how you wanted to .....

Now - when a fully loaded GT is in the high 60s and a fully loaded Dark Horse is in the 90s - sorry ....I hate to say it but after a lifetime of owning Mustangs most likely my next fun car will be something else.....

They have priced them like European sports cars.....but without the higher quality materials - outside of the Coyote - there is nothing high end on these cars compared to the M4s/ RS5 exc...

My daughters 2025 Accord was 28K (almost every option but leather) and Ill be honest....that car seems to be better made/ higher quality materials then a base Mustang - I feel like a base Mustang should be high 30s with a fully loaded version coming in low 50s and the Dark Horse fully loaded in the low to mid 60s (Maybe Dark Horse base should be mid 50s Im thinking)

This is NOT a slam at the S650 as its not like my cars interior is any better - in fact the build quality on my car is horrible......if not for the VooDoo - not sure what I would have done....

you know when the last "lowest sales year" was? 2022, before that it was 2021, before that it was 2020. the Mustangs been slipping in sales ever since 2015 with the ONLY exception being the S650s introduction in 2023. since 2000 the Mustang has only sold over 100k cars in 10 years, of which only two of those years were within the last decade.

speaking on the prices i agree, 2025 prices are too fucking high, just get a (S197 or S550)GT500. youll get way more fun out of that for way less (in the case of the S197) or about on par (for the S550) with an M4 or RS5

Yup prices being high you saw a drop in sales. When the sedan comes out you’ll see the sales drop down even more since that’ll eat at those numbers more. Raptor Mustang, and whatever was teased last year will get some excitement but will be expensive. It’ll be interesting to watch the “People aren’t buying the regular Mustang anymore” headlines/threads like they don’t know why. Lol

A non Mustang owner slags of Ford and Mustangs whilst promoting a Corvette on a Ford Mustang forum. Smacks of desperation.

There have been trolls like this before...

Maybe they need a 5.2 V8 :giggle:

I dunno. I sorta like the performance and the quality of my Mustang so far. Price was fair.

Well timing is everything in many parts of life but especially with car sales. I went on a rainy day and after what I think was a bad week of sales. I got my Dark Horse slightly above sticker pricing. All I had to do was say no and start walking out of the showroom, and I was quickly followed with the deal. I told them what I would pay and they took it.

Did the same thing with my Bullitt at the same dealership. Got it at my price not theirs.

I have the resources for a GTD but passed because no car should ever cost that much. If I am going to pay money like that, it will say Porsche or Ferrari

I totally agreed. Price are getting way too high.

Here is a comparison in CAD vs US price
CADUS
Ecoboost
$40,675.00
$31,920.00
Ecoboost Premium
$46,875.00
$37,445.00
GT Fastback
$54,675.00
$42,860.00
GT Fastback Premium
$60,575.00
$47,380.00
Dark House
$81,375.00
$60,635.00
Dark House Premium
$86,410.00
$64,630.00
My Mustang bought in 02/2024
Ecoboost Premium
$43,330.00

These price are the base model and with no optional equipment. So in Canada if you want a DH fully loaded you will pay $94,400.

Even my ecoboost went up $3,545 and the option I got are not even available anymore.

Buying a Mustang today seem more like the prestige of the name vs the price and quality. A little bit like the Harley a decade ago.

Ford could bring down their prices they would probably sell more since they would be giving a chance to more people being able to buy 1.
