You have an oil temp gauge don’t you? How can you be wrong?
I haven’t looked for one. I just use the digital number readout on the center stack that has the cylinder temp oil psi oil temp etc.

Yeah. On the screen in front of the driver you should have gauges. If not, go on center stack, instrument cluster and enable it under screens. You should get a literal reading of almost all temps.

The technician system ford tech’s use. It’s used to pretty much do anything, like looking at workshops for your car, etc. It shows info like capacities specific to your exact car. And it told the tech 9.5 is the spec
Ford has a master tracking program called OASIS.

They do, but that’s not exactly what I’m referring to. OASIS shows active TSB’s for example. However I don’t believe it’s used for capacities and specifications. That’s more their PTS system.

Yeah that’s what I use. I don’t know what is the official “warmed up temp” I just assumed over 200 I’m good to go but I could be completely wrong.

I wonder if it’s worth calling my local ford dealer to have them put in my vin and see what it says for oil specs.

Next time at my local Ford Parts counter I will ask.

When your coolant and cylinder head temps stabilize. Drive calm, once your coolant hits middle of the gauge, your oil is give or take good

Definitely could. I believe all these cars are saying 9.5 on fords end of things, yet our manuals say 10
Wouldn’t be surprised.

I’m gonna have to find these gauges you speak of. All I have seen is numbers.

It’s not in the gauges per se. When the car is on, all the way to the left, opposite of the gas gauge, that’s coolant temp. In the dead center between cold and hot, that’s operating temp.

Oh yeah that one. Yeah I haven’t really gone off of that one much. I normally wait till I hit 200 then I feel safe to go over 3k-3.5k

Yeah I go off that because that is what everything kinda follows. When that’s at temp, naturally oil is there with it.
