Just got this custom Grabber Blue pony for the engine bay. To me the blank space above the lettering needs something, and all the custom plates online don't match the color. Is it too much bling? I haven't put it on just yet.

I'm also considering having the plenum cover painted.

I loved the idea. I would make it a tiny bit smaller, though, to keep some margins in the flat space.

Also, just a curiosity: is the material resistant do heat? I imagine it gets pretty hot in there, right?

I like it! It’s Not too much
Now doing more blue may take you over the top imo.

That looks great! If you like it then that's what matters. That is a really nice touch

@AZ_Ryan Looks great. If you're willing to put the time and effort into keeping it clean under the hood (I'm not) a painted plenum cover would be sharp too!

@SSuperDave --great looking trunk display!

The painted plenum cover is a nice touch IMHO

As for the rest, not something that I would do, but if it is what makes you happy go for it.

By the time someone is peering under your hood, they should already know what the car is, but the plenum cover draws your eye to the center of the engine bay and the engine is the heart of the car.

Now I am thinking I have to paint the cover......

Is the MUSTANG wording also 3D? If do where did you get them from? Thanks

My Mustang wording are polised stainless steel letters with adhesive on the back, an ebay purchase when I first got the car.

It's all easily removable.
Then do it!

I think it looks good, but the important thing is that you do and that you will enjoy it. With it being removable, there is no concern that a future buyer will be turned off, so there is literally no downside.

That looks cool I was going to do the letters to but didn't. Here's mine I got the Dark Horse rad cover off a guy on Facebook his son makes nice stuff. Just waiting for shock tower covers.

3D Printing Products can be melt on Engine room
If it melts I'm only out 5 bucks. 🤷‍♂️

That said the coolant cover is 3D printed and it's just fine after a month.
