It's not just this Sam guys lack of driving skill. It's mostly his annoying unprofessional editing and all his stupid cuts during the drag race. He's very annoying.
Not that Sam, the Sam in Carwow. The one they call Sam the Racing driver. He's actually pretty good driver, but not so much with menus.

Yes all the carwow and throttle house guys seem pretty competent and their production values are highly professional. Throttle House rivals top gear IMHO. I was referring to Sam car legion or whatever who can't drive or do proper video editing. He does somehow get some cool cars but it's just not worth watching with his crappy technique.

Yeah, that Sam is less than great.
I'm not a big fan of Matt Watson though. He'll be more watchable (listenable?) when his balls drop.
When he gets excited only dogs can hear him.

As someone who has driven all 3 cars …

The Mach and the Dark Horse should have been neck and neck with the higher horsepower of the Dark Horse edging it out on top end … horrible driver in the Dark Horse

The GT350 is about right … it’s an absolute bitch of a car to launch and complete dog out of the hole but once it’s moving …I’m not sure if it’s underrated hp wise or just the lighter weight … but it feels much faster then the 26hp difference between it and the Dark Horse implies …(some dynos have hinted it might be making more then 526hp)

Would love to see a track comparison same day same tire same driver… yes I know everyone looks at the lightning lap times but repaved track surfaces … years apart… different weather … different drivers …. No idea what would win …

But yeah … the 10 speed in drag mode is no freaking joke … had a s550 pp1 a10 car before… the way that transmission keeps it in the power band and shifts is just stupid good …

Still waiting for 3 pedals to outperform 2 again.

In the 90s we were stickshift diehards because it was flat out faster… those days are long gone.

Just imagine jamming ten gears by hand, or seven if you drop three as overdrive.

I don’t need it to be 10 or 7, make it a 4 spd for all I care.. but it has to outperform (which isn’t happening)

S650 Mustang Drag Race: Shelby GT350R vs Mach 1 vs Dark Horse -- Which One Do You Think Is Faster ? IMG_4230

Although, not for three peddling, it’s the size of the curve that keeps the 4 gear slightly behind, our gear spacing is much wider than the short steps of the ten. It’s like climbing the same height using 4 steps or 8.

Frankly, I'm the 80s and 90s when I used to sit and calculate overall gearing with the rear end and rpm at highway speed, the gearing that the 10 speed allows would have been unimaginable back then.

First gear in the Dark Horse A10 is 4:07. 4:07 x 3.55 (differential gearing) = 14.4485

For my old Muncie to get the same overall gearing at launch would require a ridiculously low 6.56 ring and pinion gear set. 14.4485/2.2 = 6.56

And still cruise along at high speed and low rpm on the interstate swiftly enough to earn a speeding award from the state troopers.

And very little rpm drop when the gears change due to close ratios

Third and sixth are the same! LOL.
