It needed the dual clutch transmission. Ford already has one in the GT 500 it could use.I’ve always said the 10R80 would’ve made the GT350/R truly special… that tremec just can’t keep up performance wise

You guys are missing the point of the GT350... Nobody should care about those those last few tenths, and nobody is drag racing their GT350.It needed the dual clutch transmission. Ford already has one in the GT 500 it could use.
Yeah, I was not saying a DCT for drag racing. The Porsche GT3RS comes with a PDK dual clutch transmission for a reason, and it isn't drag racing. You guys are missing the point of the GT350... Nobody should care about those those last few tenths, and nobody is drag racing their GT350.
That said, I do understand some value in a DCT on track. As fun as manuals are on the street, it's nice to not have to worry about money shifts, and to be able to use all 8200 RPM multiple times per turn... Most manuals, you're not using more than 2-3 gears on most tracks.
Sam on Carwow didn't scroll far enough to find drag mode.I've got that idiots channel blocked. Stick to carwow or throttle house.
A proper spec torque converter would be the game changer for it being a dog, and the 10 gear stack would keep it in it’s sweet spot singing… could’ve ran 10s NA off the showroom floor and still “be a track car”Performance wise how? It's a track car not a street car. The Voodoo is a dog off the line. On the track it's an absolute beast.
Me? 0. Out of my budget. Never driven one. So Ford screwed it up?I’m suspicious how many DCT 500s you guys drive, it definitely has its own quirks and issues
One of the best things about the GT350 is its 3 pedals. The way God intended a true track car to be. If you want to run 10s, there are much better options.A proper spec torque converter would be the game changer for it being a dog, and the 10 gear stack would keep it in it’s sweet spot singing… could’ve ran 10s NA off the showroom floor and still “be a track car”

Lol not sure what quirks/issues you’ve experienced. But on street/track, I’ve had 0.A proper spec torque converter would be the game changer for it being a dog, and the 10 gear stack would keep it in it’s sweet spot singing… could’ve ran 10s NA off the showroom floor and still “be a track car”

The C8 has a DCT maintenance service requirement of every 24 hours of track usage. For regular street driving the requirements are a filter replacement at 7,500 miles and is free of charge, then every 22,500 miles afterwards. Fluid changes are noted by an oil life monitoring system or every three years if the monitor’s limit hasn’t been met. Yes, it’s more maintenance, but the shifts are damn sure lightning quick.DCT is much higher cost and maintenance though. You are supposed to do a fluid and filter change every time you track it and even if you dont the intervals are super short.
It's not just this Sam guys lack of driving skill. It's mostly his annoying unprofessional editing and all his stupid cuts during the drag race. He's very annoying.Sam on Carwow didn't scroll far enough to find drag mode.
At the track it gets outta the hole like a stick car, you’ll be hitting the gas pedal and can feel the clutch engaging/disengagingMe? 0. Out of my budget. Never driven one. So Ford screwed it up?
