How’s the ride with or without the Handling Pack?

It varies by drive mode. You can still hustle in turns with normal mode, but there's more give all the way around. Sport is a bit more firm, but shifts the A10 much better. Track is very flat in the turns.

HP tires transmit a lot of NVH on rough or imperfect surfaces. Like about 2db more than smooth surface, which doesn't sound like a lot, but, that puts the road noise higher than the stock exhaust in track mode while cruising along.

I held out for the handling package and I'm glad I did.

Despite not having any intentions to ever track it, I probably would not have purchased my car if it did not have the handling package. Aside from tramlining, poor wet performance, and how fast they wear out, the Pirelli Trofeo RS tires the handling pack comes with are great; but you're typically better off tossing them and throwing a set of Pilot Sport 4s' on sooner than later.
That said, I have zero issues with the ride quality of my DHHP.

From my Experience with the Mach 1, the non-HP cars had a better ride. My HP tramlined and was pretty bumpy on surface streets in sport mode. I would not recommend an HP car unless you have plans to track it.

I have the handling package and I think the tramlining has more to do with the tires than anything else. The factory Trofeo RS would move around quite a bit on uneven road surfaces where the PS4S on the same road do not, even using tires 20mm wider in the front and 40 mm in the rear.
Personally the handling package was a must have for me. I don't care if the standard pkg rides better or not.

My '25 has Brembo Brakes option without PP. The big brakes give it a few suspension changes. I wouldn't want it any firmer. I sold my C8 Z51 with Magnetic Ride because it was too firm-no matter in Tour Mode-among other reasons,

I experienced the same thing switching from the Trofeo's to the Pilot Sport 4s'.

I had a C8 with the Z51 package and magnetic ride. I didn’t trade it for my DH with HP. I had sold it previously only because I’m getting too old to get in and out of that car unless the top was off, lol!!

The C8 is a superior automobile in every way, but DH is a lot more fun, particularly, the sound of that V8. Love them both however, if I was younger, I would’ve kept the C8

I’m adding the handling package features to my base dark horse. So far I got the front spoiler, rear spoiler, wheel arch flares and spaced out my tires a bit for better handling. Going to add the stiffer springs & camber plates this summer. Will report back with the difference in drive feel.

Exactly. It looked great, handles great, and my wife liked riding in it. But thanks for reminding me how awful it was getting in and out of the C8. My other complaints were a too firm ride, mediocre digital dash, knob twist mode change, lousy 16 speaker Bose, silly console instrumentation, Z51 brakes that feel like a dead pedal, lousy E-brake location, confusing steering wheel controls, and no manual.

Ride is a subjective characteristic but based on my Mach 1 HP, Magniride with street tires is the key to a comfortable ride. Tramlining is such a hassle on the street with sticky tires but once you install a good set of street tires like the PS4S and use the softest shock setting, the ride is actually comfortable.

Where did you get the wheel arches from? Even Levittown wants 1300 for 2 strips of plastic
