Yowza. Pretty sure the scum comment was a joke. Most of the responses have been positive.I know that many of you have been to college, and have taken at least Economics 101. Do you recall supply and demand? I don't know, or care, what sales sells cars for, but to have them referred to as "scum" for following a simple rule of economics is a bit much. The market sets the price, the same as with everything else we buy. Are Barrett Jackson and Sotheby's scum for auctioning items to the highest bidder?
And the 'S' in MSRP stands for suggested. The only reason that manufacturers were butthurt over markup during the pandemic is because they weren't seeing any of it. They sell us the car for a set price, and don't say anything if we lose money selling it, so it s bit hypocritical for them to get upset when we sell for over sticker.
I'm sure this will fall on deaf ears, as those of you who think this way will not change your minds. But if I told you the dollar value of parts and services that we give away each month in the name of customer goodwill, you'd call me a liar.
All I was trying to do is let fellow enthusiast know that a vehicle was coming availble.
