Thought it’d be fun to hear what kinds of Mustang models people would like to see coming in the future. Who knows maybe Ford still monitors these forums and some of our ideas might get turned into reality some day? Fact or fiction it’s fun to dream some times.

For me there are two models I’d love to see: 1) a model built with a good setup for drag racing, and 2) a true GT350 successor

1) Mach 1 (A10 or Tremec)
- Stand Out Features: 7.3L Megazilla motor, Solid Rear Axle, beadlock capable wheels, optional rear seat delete, stripe package, hood and front fascia

2) Cobra (A10 or Tremec)
- Stand Out Features: 5.4L derived from the current Ford racing motor or an NA 5.2L predator motor good for 575hp or so, suspension bits and any necessary cooling from the DH SC, unique aero, optional rear seat delete, stripe package, hood and front fascia, lightweight forged wheels

And because this is my dream I’ll add a lightweight electrochromic glass roof on both 😁🤣

So what would you like to see?

EDIT: Forgot to add, Ford Racing dealer installed accessory options for ESS/ or ProCharger like they do with Whipple

Let me whipple my current GT and keep the full factory powertrain warranty, not the ford racing pseudo warranty

In my dreams they would build a highland green "Bullitt" like the original movie cars: stuff a V8 under the hood with a four-speed toploader behind it, 4.11 gears, and every other part would be puny undersized stuff. Traction? Zero. Braking? Good luck. Turning? Forget about it. Body roll? Get used to it. It would come with extra rear tires for burnout purposes. Interior trim would be minimal. Extra features would be none.

I joke, but this kind of car would probably be a hit. But the profit margins selling us all the extra crap we don't want or need is where the money is made today in cars.

I want, no..... need, a lightweight N/A GTD for $NZ110,000.
I don't think I'm asking for much Mr Ford.

Would be cool to see a “Lightweight” package on the GT/DH. Maybe make the DCT available on the DH and make the tremec as a standard across the lineup.

Ford should start considering offerings like this. It’s similar to the Costco model with their food court. They pretty much make no money on the food court, but it brings people in.

Might not make much margin on stripped down models, but it brings people in to the brand. Next thing you know they’re buying other ford products, getting ford service done, following ford racing, etc

I'd like to see a Mustang GT "Cougar", more of a proper grand tourer as opposed to an outright track monster. Pipedream I know, but anyways...

-301A-401A
-optional AWD (mild hybrid, perhaps?)
-10-speed auto or Tremec 6-speed manual
-steering rack/weight of the EcoBoost

-Active-X seating on 301A, leather on 400-401A (available interior colors include Carmine Red and Navy Pier Blue in addition to Black and Space Grey)
-Standard integrated dash/infotainment
-Heated/vented seats w/lumbar support (memory for 400/401A)

-California Special grille without CS badging, but top half is all gloss black and bottom half is body color
-Lip spoiler, side skirts, and top section of rear diffuser are body color
-60th Anniversary wheels, but with standard pony center caps
-Clear taillights
-No unique badging, let the unique design elements speak for themselves

I might update this later, but this is what I have so far.

I really don't care about seeing any new special models added. I would just like to see a few more options added to the existing models. Like a couple more interior colors and paint colors. With the Mustang GTD, you can get one painted any color you want, for a price. I don't ask that they go that far with the regular Mustangs, but how about this? For an extra $3000 (or whatever it would take to make it profitable), the buyer could order their Mustang in any paint that is currently being used on any Ford or Lincoln vehicle. It's not something that most people would do, but if buyers will pay $750 just to have their brake calipers painted, some will pay thousands extra to get a metallic white, metallic black, or whatever other paint Ford is using on the F-150, Navigator, or Mach E that isn't available on the Mustang.

Offer an option to have some of the black plastic trim painted body color, like the grill surround, the rear diffuser, and the side skirts.

I don't think we need another model but there should be an optional factory 409 rear gear for GTPP and DH.... On those cars you're paying the gas guzzler tax anyway. Might as well make it proper fun... And optional tremec for the gtpp....
