Those underfilled A10s were doomed from the start. If you didn't figure it out right away, the damage was done and they were never right after that. Many people on the 6G forum also had issues with the shift logic like you describe. But most had it resolved with an update from Ford or a tune. Too many problems? - Yes. Bad quality control from Ford? - Yes. But if you recall the majority of people did not have any problems at all, and the forum was a sounding board for the disgruntled. Let's not forget there was a revision to the A10 internals in late 2022 that seems to have addressed some of this stuff.I wish I could try yours out man… really I’m happy you have a good one and hope it stays that way.
I really don’t think mine was a bad one, it was just all the s550’s which Is why Ford should be ashamed, instead they told people is was normal and under filled the trans fluid from factory which was impossible to check unless you trusted your Ford dealer to disassemble the underneath, to check it when warm which I don’t . Like wtf!
2 buddies with F150’s always in the shop for 10-speed issues too: absolute bullshit
So I get the bias based on your experience. I'd be pissed too, and don't blame you a bit if I went through that. But what happened to you was not the norm, and to say they were all like that is a stretch. I've yet to read about those issues with the S650. So I'll just agree to disagree. Besides, you got a Tremec that you love and it all worked out. If memory serves you wanted a manual to begin with. I blame the wife.
