This nailes it. They are quite flexible. Ive hit a few speed bumps here in florida and our roads have some rapid and random transitions. They hold up fine and you can feel a difference the car feels more planted and less floaty.
got some ‘after’ pics ;-)

I would also think where the chin spoiler scrapes braking over a drive way up hill, they’re going to get grabbed. I guess I’ll take a look at mine then.

ill have to creep under the car they looked fine about a week ago doing the oil change on the mustang. They really are built to take a hit and flex back to spec.

Pre-delivery and even at delivery I discussed them with the sales person because I didn’t want them installed. He had never heard of them, despite being a self-proclaimed Mustang expert. In fact, his demeanour was a bit like I didn’t know what I was talking about. As if 😂😂😂

In the end I looked underneath the vehicle, still in the showroom, and there they were. The workshop manager/chief mechanic is a locally known Mustang expert (in the Perth, Western Australia metropolitan area), and he did know what they are. So ours are on! So far no issues, but whether they really improve performance I don’t know. Certainly not how we drive it, to enjoy not to race.

Every sales person I've ever met has been an "expert" on whatever it is we're looking at. The only thing they know is how to lie through their teeth and they can't even do that well.

I have never met a Mustang expert in the dealership. They all look at me as if I'm lying when telling them things about the car.

Their attitude is like they know much more, but one didn't even know what a 401A equipment group was.

Mine were also in the trunk when I bought my car. Took my car back to the dealer after about 6 months and had them installed. I figured if I paid for them I wanted them installed. Haven’t noticed a difference while driving (I don’t track it) and have not had an issue with clearance.

Yes I saw where the poster measured 2-3/4” clearance in this thread: https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/side-bottom-air-deflectors-strikers.157999/

But I’m just wondering if in everyday real-world driving they significantly compromise ground clearance? Or, conversely do they improve airflow to the point you wouldn’t want to not have them on the car?

So how about it folks, on or off? The dealer is supposedly sending a tech out to my house in a few days to install all the “trunk stuff” they cleverly left off (and remove the shipping spacers) so I need to decide fairly soon.
I have a DH with the HP so it's the lowest mustang of the S 650 I have the strakes and have over 4000 kilometers on it and I never had a problem with hitting the strakes. Now the front spoiler is a different story I have dragged it a few times. So my vote is leave them on.

Pic of strakes on my DH lowered on Steeda Ultimate Handling strings.

No problem with wear. Bends out of the way with finger pressure.

I left mine in the trunk as I took delivery in late October and they would just get clogged with snow and ice during the winter anyways. I'll probably run them in the summer and put them on/take them off along with the winter tires as necessary. I'll see if they make much of a difference, but if anything I'm betting on high speed stability. Might just be the black ice on the highways right now but she does get a touch squirrelly in the rear above 100MPH.

I've already got to inspect the underside of the car as soon as the snow is gone I have a feeling I am already missing some fasteners for the under cladding some of the panels seem loose/dislocated and have definitely not had a good time bottoming out with huge 200lb icebergs stuck to them for months at a time.
