Baer had a sale at Christmas on them. All four were $1514, less 5% because I used an Amazon credit card. Amazon had the sale price that was identical to factory direct, Jegs, Summit, etc sale price, but I am sure that someone will post that hey got them for $300, but that's what I paid.

I have had the same rotors on my Corvette for 10 over 10 years with zero cracking issues.

Shouldn't have cracking issues unless you put lots of stress and heat on them, i.e. road racing. Found myself changing out my StopTech rotors about every 2 years as hairline cracks would begin to appear. (road racing for 12 years)

Don't track with Baer.

Don't track with drilled rotors regardless of who makes them.

Why would you want to take a step backwards from OEM? I do not get it, at all.

If you want an upgrade, swap to the two piece Dark Horse rotors or the new Girodisc two piece rotors.

UPDATE: I did not see the post immediately above mine prior to posting. LOL

I have the Baer Eradispeed slotted and drilled rotors on my car. I don't track it. Got them mostly for looks. I had them on my '98 Corvette. Love them.

Is there some reason for this other than the drilling? Because they do offer a set that are slotted only.
Yamazuki, let me be perfectly clear here that I have never tracked with Baer rotors. So maybe discount everything I wrote, but I have read bad stories on discussion forums regarding tracking with Baer rotors.

So second hand third hand without details.

But you have a Dark Horse. You have awesome two piece brake rotors right from Ford. If you are going to swap them out for any reason, I would suggest you make very sure that what you are getting is actually an upgrade - know for sure it is and why.

This why I asked! I don't track my car. Never have, probably never will. But there are those that do, and will want to, track theirs; so for those of us who are maybe not quite as familiar with the more competitive racing and track day side of things, it's still good to know if there are certain products or brands that one should think twice about if they plan to take part in these types of events. I could not agree more that you absolutely do want to make sure that what you are getting is actually an upgrade.

These are not a downgrade, and still look good.

The Baer rotors are not floating, they are fixed, and they weigh about 2.3 pounds more each than the OEM DH Front rotor. All the mass is in the Rotor ring, Girodisc is typically able to come in under the OEM Composite discs. For example, the GT350 used a similar sized rotor and Girodisc was roughly 1.5 pounds less than the OEM rotor. At higher speeds that momentum starts becoming a thing.

We have Baer products on our new website, they are fine, we mainly cater to Track Performance Customers, if you want the look of the drilled, that's fine. We are not trying to change anyone's opinion, just point out the engineering differences.

Is the benefit of upgrading from the one piece GT rotors simply going to be in the weight savings? Running the G-Loc R16/R12 on track simply for HPDE, not competition, is there any other reason to upgrade? I’m just wondering since a full set of OE one piece rotors is $500, it’s significantly cheaper to replace even when compared to just the Girodisc ring replacement. I went through 3 sets of G-Loc pads before the rotors had enough checking to make me decide to replace the rotors. Would the Girodisc last longer?
