I opened the Ford app today checking to see if I was going to get an alert about the window wiper issue and got this one.

I got my letter for it today. It's for the Intake Air temperature sensor.

No parts available yet

Here we are in 2026 and Ford can't figure out IAT sensors, or how to have the ECU handle it not working.

Glad quality is job #1 at ford again.

If you're tuned, turn off auto update or be prepared to reflash your tune after this is applied. A PCM OTA will for sure overwrite your custom tune.

Good to know, I am not tuned but if i ever do i will remember your advice.

It's a software issue.

With certain events, errors associated with the Inlet Air Temperature sensor will not be reported (see wrench light) to the Driver.

The fix will be a re-flashing of the Powertrain Control Module.

What will happen when these cars start aging? Will it be a never ending recall or "GOOD LUCK TO YOU"!!!
Always buy a car within walking distance of the Ford Service Department!!

Sure glad os companies don’t build vehicles, could you imagine every single software update being classified as a ‘recall’. Where’s it going, back to the factory, hah. These otas shouldn’t be called a recall.

Yes especially if you have a mod that requires custom tuning like different injectors or you are on full e85.
