$500+ 15k Miles service - drove from TN to CA to get ripped off!

Went to the dealership to get service done. Advisor showed me this printed out “menu” for “my vehicle”. Me thinking it would be substantial since it’s 15k miles, went ahead. Sat down and looked at my service manual and was like, something was off. Went back and got a copy of the “menu” and compared it to the works and lo and behold, this is basically the works with some bullshit add ons. Pissed at myself for not catching it sooner.

That’s exactly what it feels like right now. And what makes it worse is, the owner of the damn dealership has a GTD out in the showroom floor because he’s ran out of space in his garage. All these useless add-ons paid for that GTD, and I chipped in 🥲

Yes California is expensive for just about everything...but if this service was done anywhere near me, I would be very embarrassed and this dealership should be fined and or shut down...I have not had any issue like this in my area. I would contact the better business bureau immediately! That is an abomination to car owners everywhere! Complete Bullshit

That’s what I thought too. Plus an actual service. But it turns out they put in those “premium” ac conditioner stuff and some other bs. Before I left I asked for their price on “the works” and it was $180. Used to pay around $100 in TN.

Relocated to CA for work. Just so happens that I needed the oil change when we got here
