So what happens when they come back and tell you they found corrosion on your BCM but can't source a replacement so they will just keep your car for 6 weeks because of NHTSA mandates?

Just a fun scenario I like to kick around.

I'm not playing their game. If my car saw rain, I'd have to rethink though.

I asked Grok to translate the Dutch .pdf and it did so here to some degree: https://x.com/i/grok/share/6xO1aUN3ZgqOyqELQJxMzc4hx

Dropped my Mustang off this morning and they said I will get it back later today or tomorrow morning....if no issues are found.
Takes like 5 min to check

I don't know where you live but in Belgium to be honest it never took longer then 7 day's tot receive Parts i have the car from 2024 and was scared because it's a USA Car and i would struggle with Parts because i think there are only 3 or 4 driving arround in my country. And for now it was never a problem. And here they Cant Keep the car in the dealerships jail. I already ask the dealer if they can provide the part here if i had the problem and they checked and it's available because i don't do the dirty fix (recall) wit goo everywhere untill i see water comming in. Not every car is affected they don't know from Ford how manny are affected there guessing and i don't want thé preventive dirty fix from Ford. If it's like that i let the window reseal by a Company i Trust and put a new bcm in and program with FDRS ( i have my own shop with oem tools so i am priviliged) but the dealer aint going to touch it. I only see bigg f. Ups from the dealers here. First time i showed the OEM dealer the car here the mechanic didnt understand the electronic drift/Handbrake i was yep you aint touching the car not even put air in the tires.

Well, got a call from dealership saying they found a crack in the southern most left hand corner of the windshiled, which imo they caused when attempting to do the recall, so I got the car back today from them. Nothing serious, and not likely to spread.

The positive side is that they basically acknowledged fault, and will be replacing the windshield, doing the recall, and a state inspection free of charge. Hopefully that goes smoother when new windshield comes in.
To think I'll be on my 3rd windshield at 9K miles....at least not paying for this one.

Most times when a windshield is replaced it is done better than factory if done by someone with experience. This is more true when its done with a small business owner. I had mine done by such and don't want anyone jacking the corners that is not having water leak issues. Ford is trying to cover their backside and not really approaching the fix very scientifically. There maybe a better fix down the road with people that have a water issue. So far on this forum not many have actual water in the BCM.

Agree on this. When I got the 2'nd one put in the rearview mirror shake that many had at 70+mph completely disappeared and never came back again. Even with my 4'th order setup in the trunk, the shaking was reduced by more than 75% compared to the original one from factory.

Now I'm hoping this new install doesn't bring that back. Going to mention it to the body shop.
Also of importance is the Ford Body Shop I went to said they haven't found a single Mustang, recall wise, that has had a leak yet.

New windshield came in next day, and this morning picked it up. No water intrusion and free state inspection.
Time wise I dropped it off yesterday afternoon and they called at 8:30 this morning saying its ready.
Works for me.

Dealer ordered a new windshield. When it comes in, we will schedule the work. He is convinced they will break the windshield to do the sealing. Whatever. Their issue. The car won't likely sell with an open recall so they will do it no matter what. I could go on but have other things bigger to be concerned about. 🙄

As I have posted, my factory windshield cracked and I had it replaced with a Ford OEM Part by a reputable, experienced shop last summer so the last thing I want is Ford screwing it up on me.

As soon as I have some free time I am going to remove the kick panel and rung the leak test in the TSB. If there are no leaks I'm done with this one. FWIW my car is parked outside 24x7 so no garage.
