Any idea if this includes Dark Horse models - specifically those with the handling pack? I remember reading somewhere that the models with track tires (GT500, Mach1 with handling pack, and DH w/handling pack) arenā€™t in production from November thru March?

To piggyback off of this; is anyone aware of the average Dark Horse Handling Pack order-to-delivery time based on 24MY experiences? I'm sure it's all over but trying to gauge how much time is relevant.

That is correct. Generally, from as soon as October. I've. seen HP-like cars arrive in Owner's hands as quickly as April (previous MYs) the following year. It's the Summer tires, Ford wanting to prevent any damage due to cold temps.

Hi guys, sorry but I'm a bit slow on the uptake... Based on the chart above, when would you expect the last MY24 car to come off the production line? I live in Australia and our 1st deliveries of S650s only started last week (yes, we've had to wait 2 years) with a heap of cars still to be built. With color changes and price rises for '25, there could well be some very unhappy customers down under! TIA Cheers......

So based on this issue, and on Job 1 starting in NOVEMBER, we should not expect these models to be SCHEDULED until MARCH/APRIL of 2025?

I can't say how far ahead Ford would commit to a build/schedule, but yes, I would not expect the car to be completed and readied for shipment until March/April of '25.

The following is an extreme example, but it highlights what Ford is trying to avoid.

I ordered a Dark Horse Handling Pack in early September that was still processing in June. Found one somewhere else so not sure if it ever got built.

What is Job 1 Production?
Organization of batches throughout the year. They start on Job 1, if anything changes, that next batch is Job 2, and so on.

What about 2024 Darkhorses ordered in May? Will they ever be built?

We've still got this month, September, maybe a bit of October. I'd reach back to the dealer, see if they can confirm the order is paired with an allocation, discuss the what-ifs.

Towards the start of last Fall, Ford sent out a message when they cancelled the remaining, unbuilt DH HP orders for that Calendar Year. I suspect they'd do the same this CY.

Edit,

One thread tracking the DH HP build cancellations, last Fall.

I spoke to my dealer yesterday, and the inventory manager confirmed that they would not be building cars with track tires during that time frame, so the earliest my car could be built would be March/April 2025. He did say they should not cancel the orders, and that they should stay in the system until that time.
