I wonder what retail scheduling vs stock scheduling means. Hoping to get an email this week although with the tarnished aluminum summer tires, it might get pushed to spring.

My understanding was they don't ship HP in winter.
What I don't quite understand about the HP is why not ship it with tires that won't be permanently damaged in the cold weather? Instead of the Trofeos, the car should have the option to come with PS4S (or the new PSS5) or the ECS 02.

Most people that track their cars will end up purchasing track tires anyways - they don't need it from Ford.

Neither of those tires are supposed to be in the cold either.

Note: Tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.

Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Max Performance Summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. Compound cracking is not a warrantable condition because it occurs as the result of improper use or storage, tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced.

Sure, but I'm also positive that the Trofeos would fair worse. Max performance summer tires aren't preventing other manufacturers from producing vehicles in the winter...

I wonder if the OEM tire is slightly different, or if they take the weather forecast into account when choosing cars to build.

I saw that. Not excited about waiting until April.
Me either. Would be great if there was an option for the Trofeos to be delivered in the car/trunk and have all seasons delivered on the car instead. Then the HP could deliver year round and I'd still have my track tires ready to go. Even if they put the wheels and tires in the trunk and transported with $50 junkyard specials I wouldn't care. When I take delivery I'll already have new all-seasons anyway so I'm not burning the Trofeos out on my commute. I just want my damn car already. I've been waiting a year and a half already. I'd rather not wait another 7 months.
