Air filters are installed and they look like like some high quality filters for sure ! After the grille airflow modifications I knew I needed something more durable than factory. I made this video mainly to talk about the grille change and if it helped lower IAT at all, but I also include the air filters as well.

Found your filters a while back, and decided to give them a try. I have only had them a few hundred miles. Couldn’t believe how dirty the original ones were after about 1900 miles. Added a thin film of superlube and the Filters went on easily.

We made these pretty tight since they will loosen over time and we wanted to make them last as long as possible.

I think a decent amount of water can get into the intake box and hit the filters on the front side. That was one of my major driving forces for making these.

I did a thing!!

Was super easy to install, My previous filters that came stock were starting to get dirty only after 1500 mi and one track day.

We need to try it out on the freeway tomorrow morning to see how it feels if there is any difference with the flow. Was very easy to fit, did not need any silicone lube or anything. Thank you again for the delivery and quality and the research.

Amazing. There are at least a half dozen Dyno shops who have proved that removing the carbon filters does NOT improve the HP and/or torque, throttle response, or any other detectable change. Yet folks swear it does. I guess myths prevail!

Hmmm, deciding, this option, AFE, or nothing. I have NEVER liked the oiled type air filters so these choices are good.

Thank you for your support. My oe filters looked just like yours when I started this whole process.

What track did you race at? I recently did the Mustang Unleashed program and I can’t wait to get on the track again. Luckily, our local one stays open through winter, weather permitting.

I just need to get my hands on a second set of OEM intake tubes and I’ll be testing this as well.

If anyone sees a set come up from someone who bought an intake kit, please let me know.

I am in the Pacific Northwest so I joined the PNW race group last weekend we went to Pacific raceways in Kent.

I’m also not a huge fan of oiled filters. The whole idea seems counterintuitive for a daily driver. I want consistent filtering across the entire filter and not leaving your ability to re oil the filter to dictate filtration. Most filter companies target air flow over filtration which isn’t what I want on my daily.

The downside here is that you will have to clean these filters more often but it is a really easy process. Blow them out from the inside with some medium pressure compressed air to get the big stuff out and then wash them from the inside out with a hose or faucet.

I never got a chance to go when I lived out there. I was in Maple Valley. Such a beautiful area. I know you don't get much heavy rain but I would love to hear if you get any water in the intake boxes through winter. Assuming you are driving the mustang through winter.
