SB Filters (JLT) intake for 2024 GT

Currently in the engineering faze. Says shipping winter of 2024....first pics ive seen so far for an aftermarket intake system for the 2024 GT. I am curius to see if the larger airboxes and replacement piping will generate any worthwhile gains.

I like to see this, in the past air intakes were always paired with a tune so the bulk of dyno gains came from tuning and not intakes, very interested to see!!

This is MORE of type of stuff RTR should have been on with their head start from Ford.

My guess is that RTR was restricted on what they could and could not modify as a head start. But they should do it for sure! Even if they snuck the development of it and waited to release.

Intakes rarely post any real gains.

I would guess that without a change in the tune, you aren't going to see much difference in horse power unless you live a mile or more above sea level. Remember this year Ford went from one intake to two and while there is a little more horse power, it's not a huge jump. The current output is tuned into the engine and without accessing the tune, I suspect improvements will be small.

I had looked into JLT filters air tubes that you mentioned on your picture! And it isn’t legal on roads according to the note:

not street legal in the U.S.?

anyone who gets a CAI for the '24 GT/DH should also invest in throttle body spacers and top off their blinker fluid
